knowing how shitty yukhei could be, kana had already seen this coming. ever since yukhei learned that jungwoo and kana were both related to him, he's been coming up with schemes. "i need to pee, you guys go have fun first!" he said, purposely nudging kana closer to jungwoo along the way as he waved at the both of them.

kana scoffed in annoyance as she backed away from jungwoo, the boy stared at her for a moment before taking in a deep breath, "sorry," he said, his face apologetic. kana looked up at him for the first time today, "why are you sorry?" she asked, now she felt bad. "yukhei can be stupid sometimes, i'm sure he forced you to come." he explained, frowning.

flustered, she immediately denied, "oh no, i didn't come here against my will, jungwoo. i'm just annoyed that yukhei's being stupid." they remained silent for a second before both bursting into laughter, acknowledging that yukhei was an idiot.

"so, us knowing him, he didn't leave to pee." jungwoo stated, earning a nod from kana, "he's definitely not peeing right now. so we might as well just have fun together." kana added, they made eye contact as jungwoo smiled, kana had to stop herself from actually calling him cute out loud.

"come on," jungwoo said, he stretched his hand out to kana, she looked at it with wide eyes, slowly, her hand took his, they were holding hands. she could feel her heart beating so much she thought she was gonna die. jungwoo held her hand gently, unlike yukhei–unlike doyoung.

she shook the thought of doyoung out of her head, almost looking like a kid who just woke up  from a nightmare. "your hand is so soft," jungwoo commented, he flashed a smile at kana again, she was amazed at how jungwoo's always smiling. "thank you," was all she could say. she wasn't exactly used to compliments like these. she's always hanging out with yukhei and he's not really the type to shower her with nice words.

"where are we going?" she asked, she had to walk two times faster to keep up with jungwoo, though she was used to walking like this since yukhei has really long legs. jungwoo noticed how kana was slightly struggling to keep up with his pace, and slowly, quietly, he walked in a slow pace, for kana to catch up easily.

though it was painfully slow for him, it felt nice to see kana walk comfortably. "i don't really know. there's a lot of things to do in a mall, but i only come here to buy something or eat lunch." he answered, finally. kana looked at him for a second before chuckling, "you're so much like yukhei, but at the same time, your're not." she said, jungwoo nodded in agreement, "i hear that a lot."

"i'll let you decide, you should have fun today." jungwoo said, stopping in his tracks, taken aback from his words, she remained blank for a moment, "are you suggesting that i haven't been having fun these past few days? because you are definitely right!" she finally replied, as a joke. the two laughed together.

kana was still aware that they were still holding hands, though she doubt jungwoo had noticed that. "let's go to the arcade," she turned around, and pointed at an arcade. the male nodded in agreement, as they walk together towards the said place.

"i suck at games, though," kana admitted firsthand, jungwoo chuckled, "that's alright." he said, giving her a pat on the back.

yukhei walked out of the restroom, he had a feeling jungwoo and kana had ditched him, which is a good and a bad thing. he had been convincing himself that they wouldn't do something like that, plus, it wasn't long since he left to pee. what could've happen anyway?

when he arrived at the place they first apart, he came to the realization that the two of his friends did ditched him. "these little rats..." he muttered, he stood there for a moment, a bit lost on what to do next.

it took him a moment to finally walk around the mall blankly, to find whatever interesting, or maybe to find either jungwoo or kana, or both. as he was walking around, his shoulder brushed against someone else's, he didn't think much about it until he realized he'd actually made the person's stuff drop.

as a natural instinct, he turned around to apologize, only to realize it was kana's friend, jaera, he felt the whole world, including him, pause just like that. his breath hitched before he could even mutter a sorry, "geez, yukhei, you should watch where you're going," she said softly, he wasn't sure if he should feel attacked by those words or not, since her voice echoed softly in his ears.

"sorry, jaera," he barely muttered, the girl shrugged at him before getting back on her feet. yukhei also realized that, which he quickly started following her, "jaera," he called, his voice so quiet. at the mention of her name, she stopped on her tracks again, "yeah?" she asked, yukhei scratched the back of his neck, "nevermind," he said, a tinge of red evident on his face.

the girl chuckled, "you're acting weird today, yukhei, you alright?" she asked, yukhei pressed his lips together as he watch the sight of jaera laughing. "i'm... good, thank you." he said, smiling. at this point, being this close to her will make him burst. "you're alone?" she asked. yukhei nodded almost immediately, "that's weird." she stated, before shrugging. she flashed a smile to yukhei again, "i'll get going. see you around, yuk!" she waved.

the male waved back at her, and had a stupid grin on his face. "that was the best 15 minutes of my fucking life!" he thought to himself, as he got on his feet again.

"there you are!" yukhei yelled, his voice was heard clearly by jungwoo and kana as they watch his tall figure quickly made it's way to them. he looked at kana first, he could obviously see her face red, a story he couldn't wait to hear, then he looked at jungwoo, who had a grin on his face.

"had fun?" he asked, the two nodded almost immediately. "we went to the arcade. it was fun without you around," kana said, yukhei faked to be hurt, "i also had fun. i met aphrodite herself today." he pointed out. 

jungwoo and kana raised their eyebrows at him, "what?" jungwoo asked, yukhei waved him off, shaking his head along the way, "nothing," he said, though he knew neither of them were buying it. "what were you guys doing while i was away?" he asked as he purposely walk in between the two.

"we played games, and got to know each other more." kana said, yukhei nodded as a response. he turned to look at jungwoo for a split second, before bending down to whisper at kana, "so, does he know about you-know-who?" he asked, hinting on doyoung.

kana shook her head, and the male nodded. "so, jungwoo, do you know now that kana is the worst at physics? she had failed the subject for so many times!" he said, kana elbowed him, but he remained unbothered.

jungwoo turned to look at yukhei, his eyes slightly widened, "really? kana, i'm good at that subject! i can help you," he offered, his kindness made kana's heart beat fast again, and once again, she became a stuttering mess around jungwoo.

"o–oh, no–i mean–it's alright! i–uh, i'll pass." she answered, her eyebrows creased together. yukhei had to hold himself back from laughing. jungwoo respected her decision, he nodded, "you can come to me if you need help, anytime," he replied, smiling at her.

kana smiled back at him, before they both looked away, both just lost in their own thoughts. yukhei was amazed at how the two managed to not feel his presence anymore.
