Park Family's Dinner

Park Jimin wished himself to go deaf. His parents talking about his engagement to Wang Soojung made him lost his appetite. He would sometimes look at his younger brother, Jihoon who also was uncomfortable with the discussion.

Mrs. Park:
"What about pursuing further studies abroad - first? We can have the engagement party as soon as our son is ready."

Jimin looked at his mother. Sometimes he's happy how she sided on him. But he knew his mother would never win over his father. Aside from that, he's never ready to marry Soojung.

Mr. Park:
"No. The event will be in 3 days."

Jimin and Jihoon looked at each other.

Jihoon:
"Why so soon, dad?"

Their father looked at them.

Mr. Park:
"We can't waste time while our competitors are also working. Your brother must marry Mr. Wang's daughter for us to stay on top of the industry."

The younger son was confused. He was thinking how his brother was just used for some family business benifits.

Jihoon:
"We are not declaring bankruptcy soon - right?"

Mr. Park sighed while looking at his wife.

Mr. Park:
"That's what we are avoiding. We need a strong tie. And the Wang family can give it to us."

Jihoon knitted his eyebrows. He's not that young to not understand things but he's confuses why marriage has to be considered. Because he too was afraid that it would happen to him.

Jihoon:
"Dad, isn't it unfair for Jimin hyung?"

Jimin was scared for his brother to get scolded by his father. Although he's the son who would likely ask about many things to his father, he feared Jihoon would say things that would finally piss their father.

Mr. Park placed his fork on his plate and wiped his mouth with the cloth.

Mr. Park:
"He will be engaged to Soojung. That's final."

Jihoon sighed in disbelief.

Jihoon:
"Appa, you can't do this hyung. This is - "

As his father was surprised and annoyed by Jihoon, Jimin stopped his brother instantly. He didn't want his younger brother to be reprimanded like him.

Jimin:
"Eat your food, Jihoon."

He just rolled his eyes. Like how could his brother bare all of their father's pressuring and choking acts?

Mr. Park:
"Thus, he will no longer be dating the daughter of Dr. Jeon."

Mrs. Park:
"I told you from the start. The whole marriage thing is a mistake. Now our son is missing. What are we going to do now?"*crying
