45 - ice cream and paper

Park Jimin sat on the same chair where he would usually sit with Iza. He was at the convenient store waiting for Iza.

He knew she wouldn't come but he still had high hopes to see her again.

He was staring blankly at the glass window where they shared a kiss.

Jimin:
   "Please. For the last time. Let me see you. Let me experience being in danger with you. Punch me again like I deserve every beating you give me. Jeon Iza, Please."

He waited for an hour and it became two. Then it turned into 3 and 4.

The cashier finally called his attention when it was about noon time.

Cashier:
   "Sir, you've been sitting there for 4 hours. Would you like to order something?"

Jimin shook his head. He wasn't in the mood for eating. But as soon as he saw Mr. Paul Heavens' car outside the store, he stood and went directly to the counter.

Jimin:
   "Please lend me a pen and paper."

Park Jimin went out from the convenient store and get inside the car. Soojung was there. She was crying.

Soojung:
  "I don't really wanna go."

Jimin:
  "Stop crying. Let's just think of it as a vacation. Three years would be quick - I guess."

Stop lying to yourself, Park Jimin.

Soojung:
   "But I didn't even had the chance to say bye to Taehyung. Wait - did Iza came to see you?"

Jimin sighed and shook his head.

Soojung:
   "I'm so glad technology paved the way for convenience of long distance relationships. I could still be updated of what Taehyung is doing while I'm away."

Jimin smirked. As is she and his friend were in a relationship. But he totally agree by nodding. Then he checked  Iza's social media accounts with his username tiny_bubbles.

(I'm laughing with the username Park Jimin came up just to not get caught.)

Iza pushed the door of the convenient store and looked at the empty seat where she would be sitting with him.

She was glad she came when he already left. She intentionally came later than noon.

Iza:
   "I don't wanna see him anyway."

Who's lying now? Fine. She's being honest.

Then she sat and stared at the empty seat beside her.

Cashier:
   "Excuse me."

Iza looked at the approaching cashier. She was holding an ice cream and handed it to Iza.

Iza:
   "I didn't order this."

She was confused of why would the cashier give her an ice cream. But she still accepted it.

Cashier:
   "The man who left 20 minutes ago told me to give an ice cream to a woman who would seat here. There were 2 before you arrived. But I know they weren't the one he was referring to. I used to see the two of you eating ice cream together. But lately I have not seen you with him. He would come here alone and so do you. You know I always thought you two look good together. Did you come here for him?"

Jeon Iza sighed while staring violently at the cashier.

Iza:
   "I came here for the ice cream."

The cashier felt awkward and nodded. She knew the costumer was annoyed from what she just said.

Cashier:
   "Uhmm - he also wanted you to have this."

She took a piece of paper from her pocket and carefully placed it on the table. Then she immediatelt went back to the counter without looking back.

Iza just sat there. Coldly staring at the ice cream that melted on her hand. Then she picked up the paper and with the ice cream, she threw it in the trash bin.

Iza:
   "A liar like you deserves in the garbage can."

Then she left the convenient store with the inconvenient tears in her eyes.
