71 - Heir Day

Park Jimin turned off the TV after Jeon Iza's report.

She was doing fine. And it had been a month since she left. Although her life was always in danger, death would always spare her. A thing Park Jimin was always thankful for.

He couldn't sleep well, knowing Iza was on a dangerous area. At the same time, he felt proud of her.

For surviving.

For surviving after a heartbreak and for surviving there at Syria.

Jimin looked at the ring around his finger. It was the ring Iza gave to him as his graduation gift.

Then he looked at the calendar on top of his table.

He smiled as he remembered the day he spent his birthday with Iza. It was the first time they spent time together.

When Iza escaped from her piano class and they went to the restaurant where Uncle Paulo manages.

Jimin grabbed his jacket and drove off  to the same restaurant where he saw an angel playing the piano.

He sat at the same chair where he first saw Iza playing the piano. He then ordered the same food Iza asked for the two of them.

Jimin saw Uncle Paulo, a little bit older than few years back. He was smiling at him.

Jimin:
   "Been a while, Uncle Paulo."

Uncle Paulo placed the food on the table. Jimin knitted his eyebrows as he saw two orders.

Uncle Paulo:
   "The last time you were here was when you ordered food for Iza. Had it been a year?"

Jimin nodded. Then he looked at the other plate.

Uncle Paulo:
   "There's two because I wanna join you."

Jimin smiled.

Jimin:
   "Thank you, Uncle Paulo."

Uncle Paulo:
   "So, you stopped sending her food?"

Jimin giggled while shaking his head.

Jimin:
   "I cook for her. Sometimes hehe. I ask our friend to give it to her."

Uncle Paulo laughed after hearing it.

Uncle Paulo:
   "You really love her."

Jimin started eating.

Jimin:
   "I always do."

Uncle Paulo:
   "But until when will you hide yourself from her?"

Jimin sighed as he looked at the piano.

Jimin:
   "Until the day she stop hating me."

Uncle Paulo tapped Jimin's back.

Uncle Paulo:
   "Don't waste time. We all know your father wants you to marry another woman."

Jimin just nodded. He used to share his life to Uncle Paulo back when he visited the restaurant.

Uncle Paulo:
   "How long had it been since the two of you parted ways?"

Jimin thought for a while. It hurts him.

Jimin:
   "Four years and months apart."

Uncle Paulo:
   "And your feelings for her never changed?"

Jimin:
   "It's getting stronger, Uncle Paulo. Seeing her grow into a very beautiful and strong woman makes me want her more."

Uncle Paulo laughed.
