after a week they were still in canada, all of them together—jack, finn, luna, and sadie. they only stayed to keep themselves hidden long enough to be forgotten about.

each day was a continuous struggle, luna and jack were always struggling to sleep, but mostly luna. she was there for an entire year and forgot the world was still going on around her, her family was still going on without her. jack had only been in there for a couple days, yet it changed his life—he saw everything in a different view. he saw his brother didn't care, he doesn't even notice that he had been gone for a while. he also saw who did care, that was finn.

finn and sadie were the only ones who felt okay for once, mostly finn. finn got two people back, that he thought he lost forever, he loves his sister but he and jack have yet to reveal their feelings for one another but truly finn knew—he felt something different for jack than he ever had for any girl. while sadie, she also got someone back yet she wished they would stay lost forever, micheal.

they planned on heading back down south into the states, either way they were running out of money. each person agreed that they would leave on tuesday night.

"everyone packed?" sadie said as they glanced around their small motel room.

she was answered with multiple 'yes' from each corner of the room. they began to put everything into the car that no one knew, sadie stole from her older brother.

as everyone sat in the car sadie started the car, and they were off leaving in the middle of the night and most likely won't get back until the next day.

as they drove jack and luna slept while finn and sadie stayed wide awake, each keeping each other awake for the long car ride.

10 hours later

they arrived in derry the following day at 10:43 am safe and sound all in one peice. once they got there jack realized he couldn't go home, he didn't have a home. finn realized that he left the country and his parents must be freaking out thinking they lost another child, yet the reality is they gained one. sadie realized that she isn't safe, and neither is her family.

with all these troubles running through their heads they all glanced at each other at different time, they felt safe with each other. yet none of them knew what to do at that very moment.

in the midst of all their thoughts they heard the one thing they didn't expect, the sound of a police siren.
