That Friday
Alexandrea's POV
So, Renée had originally gotten me and Nicole passes for BroadwayCon. But, since she got grounded, we wouldn't be able to go. I had a plan. I made sure Nicole grabbed the passes before we went to school. Then we went to first period. In the middle of First period, we ended up having a fire drill, which meant it was easier for us to leave. So, when everyone started to go back inside we made a run for it.
Nicole's POV
I didn't want to do it. Honestly, I'd rather have stayed in school, but, when Alexandrea grabbed my hand, beginning to run, I went along with her. I closed my eyes and let her guide me. "GIRLS GET BACK HERE!" Some of the school's staff yell at us. We get further away and I can't hear them anymore. Still, Alexandrea and I run. Then we stop. "We are here." She tells me. I open my eyes and see the huge convention center where it is being held. I reach into my backpack and pull out our badges. Then we walk in. We walk around for a little bit and then I make the worst decision possible. I freak out and run towards Karen Olivo. The reason I did it was because I was Karen trash. I saw her and I darted towards her, not noticing that she was hanging out with Lin, Mandy, and some of the heights cast. I go over and say hi to Karen, but, Mandy notices Alexandrea and I right off the bat. "Nicole, Alexandrea, shouldn't you guys be at school?" Mandy asks. "Uh..." I start. "It's fine I'll write you a pass." Lin cuts me off. "I distinctively remember, that Renée grounded you." Mandy says. She pulls out her phone. "Mandy, please don't call Renée." I beg. "I just can't believe you Nicole." Mandy says, going over to call Renée. I just stand in the middle of the heights cast, emotionally breaking down on the inside. Alexandrea stands next to me in a state of shock. A few minutes later, I hear the pounding of heels coming towards us from the escalator, and behind that a mix of curse words are coming at rapid speed. I recognize it, as Renée and Daveed.
