Nicole's POV
Alexandrea and I walk into the cafeteria. It was almost less than three days of school left and I was so excited to get away from this place. We go over to our usual table with Taylor. "I'm going to miss you guys." Taylor says. "We will too but we will keep in touch." I say. I pull out my lunch and Renée left a note in it. "Wow, mommy Goldsberry has left her little baby a note." I hear someone from behind say. I turn around to see Carolyn and her little possy. "Carolyn. What do you want?" I ask. "You know she just adopted you because of Graham Windham  and the reputation among the fan base, right?" She asks. "Shut up Carolyn." Alexandrea says. "Nobody loves you Goldsberry. And no one will ever love you, that's why you have never been kissed and were put up for adoption." Carolyn says. That was the last straw. Suddenly, my Taurus takes over and I am on top of her. She punches me back. "MISS GOLDSBERRY. MISS GULLUCIO. OFFICE NOW." I hear the principal yell.
Renée's POV
"Hello? What do you mean she got into a fight. I'll be right there." I hang up and grab my stuff. "Renée? What's going on and what happened to our lunch?" Alexis asks. "Nicole got suspended, again." I say. "What did she do this time?" He asks. "She got into a fight." I say, sighing. "HOW?" Alexis yells. I kiss him and leave. I rush to Nicole's school and run in. I am so mad. I leave with Nicole. "Why did you do that?" I ask. "You didn't just adopt me for reputation, did you?" Nicole asks. "Why on earth would you ask me that?" I ask. "Carolyn said that and she said no one loves me." Nicole says. "Oh. Honey that's not true, we all love you very much." I say. She starts crying and I hold her tight in my arms, comforting her and not letting go.
A little later
Nicole's POV
I sit in my room crying, trying to distract myself. My parents were fighting over what my punishment would be. Renée was trying to get me none of at least something that isn't as bad is what Alexis had in mind. When I came home, Alexis was scolding me. That was punishment enough. I go over and pick up my yearbook that I had thrown across my bedroom. I flip through it reading stuff my friends and teachers wrote. I laugh reading some of the things Taylor and Alexandrea wrote. Then I flip to the page I am on and highlight my name. Even though I hated this school, it doesn't mean I should forget about it, I just need to move on from the experience. Renée comes in and sees me on the floor, she hugs me and then motions for me to join her on the edge of my bed. I comply. "So, we've gotten it down to you being grounded for a week, okay?" She says. I nod. "Okay good. Also, we won't be able to go to Detroit this summer as I will be preforming with your aunt Pippa in Boston and your dad will be working during the day, so, my brother's daughter's will be watching you guys." Mom says. "Why do I have to be baby sitted? I'm not a child." I protest. "Do you want me to see if Mandy will let you be with her this summer?" Renée asks. I nod. "Okay." She says. I hug her. "We are leaving for Boston at the beginning of next month." Mom says. "Okay." I say. She begins to leave. "Wait mom, can I go to Qym feast?" I ask. "I was going to see if someone could take your siblings but why do you want to go?" She asks. "Uh..." I start, not wanting to mention my crush. "Nicole has a crush." Brielle says from the hallway. "Ugh. Stop." I say, closing the door again. "Oh my daughter has a crush." Renée says, squeezing me to death. "Mom... too tight." I say. "Sorry. Who is it?" She asks. Once again, Brielle buds in "Grant, Knoche." I blush. "I'll see what I can do about it." Renée says and then leaves.
