Notes
This was going to be a longer chapter but I decided to break it up. It was originally 870 words XDShe ran on small paws through the short thin brush to her favoeite hiding space jist under a large willow tree. The roots curled around her almost as if trying to comfort her. She layed quietly sobbing underneath the tree mumbling to herself.
"Why, wouldn't she take me with her? Why didn't she say goodbye? Why didn't she tell me?" She asked quick questions to herself in betweem sobs and gasps. She didn't want me She came to the conclusion suddenly, with a quiet gasp and more sobs coming.
A snap of a twig from the forest made her look up quickly going quiet she sniffed and wiped the tears from her face quickly they couldn't see her like this.
"Raven?" The voiced called out. Waterkit She thought with a twinge of happiness.
"Yeah?" She responded after a second, not wanting jer voice to crack
"Are you okay?" Waterkit asked his blind eyes looking towards her like he new where she was.
"I'm fine just,.....overwhelmed, is all" She stated plainly and slowly. She didn't like lying, though she needed to be strong, to not sjow weakness.
"Were you crying?" He asked sitting where he was his tail wavving back and forth, almost impatiently.
"N-No" She said quickly, maybe too quickly?
"Okay, just wanted to know" Waterkit looked as if ready to stand up so she talked quickly.
"Did Sweetkit send you?" She asked just keeping it from sounding sad, possibly heart broken
"Um, yes" He stated akwardly, his paws fidgeting sligjtly now and his ears moved back slightly, like he was in trouble.
"Oh, okay" was Ravenkit's only response it sounded sad but Waterkit took no noticed, or if he did, he didn't pay any mind to it.
"If your okay, i'm goona go back to camp, you should too" If Raven was hopeful she thought she could hear remorse in his voice, but she quickly ignored the though.
"Okay" She responded "In a second, you go ahead"
He stalked off quietly only a few leaves quivering slighly portraying someone was there. She was alone again, but not crying anymore so, better.Maybe. She wiped her face with her paw again hoping to erase any mark of her crying and stood up ready to jead back to the den. She heard the cry of a hawk above and looked up worried.
I need to go, now probly. I hope Waterkit made it back safe Her thoughts continued as she raced back to the opening on the den wall.
She didn't see Waterkit anywhere so he must have been inside.Okay, calm down Raven, calm down, keep your composure and you will be fine. She walked in to the den still empty. She found one corner of the den and padded over quickly. She layed down, curling up in the wide den. Cold She though absently. She shivered slightly then curled up closer to herself.
She kept her eyes when the other kits and queens walked in pertending to be asleep. When they all settled she found the quiet sort of comforting. It was alone, like she was now. She slowly drifted off to sleep, breathes slowing down to a calm pace that was even.
