Her apprentice ceremony was finally here! She was so excited!

I can finally prove that I'm a great hunter.
I wonder who my mentor will be.
I can see Waterpaw and Sweetpaw again!
I wonder if they'll think I'm a good hunter.
I'll prove myself to them.
If I have a good mentor that is.
Her thoughs kept looping in circles with excitement and worry, over and over and over again.

Her thoughts slowed down eventually, but left her with a sadder thought slowly drifting in her head Mom won't be around to see  The Thought seem, louder, maybe, or just more intense, it left her feeling slightly empty as if a hole that could never be fixed, or sealed, was there weakening the structure as a whole. The thoughts put her edge, as she waited outside the nursery.

She licked her fur down, shifting, and clawing at the ground. It had been 4 moons since Berrystars death but it still felt like a fresh wound, much like the one with her mom. Waterpaws mom had become leader, and made him become a warrior's apprentice! He was blind, and she was not a good mother,  to put her child through that. To put him willingly in to harms way seemed evil.

The other clans must think Riverclan was stupid to make him a warrior. He could fight,  she knew not to underestimate him. It was like he could see, but he was blind. Maybe starclan watched over him. Raven looked around, she felt a small breeze pass by her fur, but it quickly left. No breeze came again.

"Everyone old enought to catch their own prey meet me here." Echostars loud mew rang against the quite serene of before, shifting it. Like she was breaking something that should not have been broken. Raven looked at the cats as they gathered around their leader, ready to here the news.

"Today we jave a apprentice who has always shown excitement at the thought of becoming a apprentice, and eventually a warrior. She jas shown her excitment, and so can that kit step forward?" Echostar stated the words manually, as though they were never that much of a big deal.

Raven took a uneasy step forward, then continued, padding closer to the large grey she-cat. She stopped just in front of her leader, ready to respond to any question. Her thoughts whirled as Echostar gave Ravenkit, her new name, Ravenpaw, and her mentors name, Troutstream.

Okay he was a usaully nice cat, and was a excellent fighter. She could learn well from him, being smaller he might even have a few tricks to show her how to outsmart rather than overpower then enemy. She touched noses with her mentor and felt her excitment push away her fear.

She could finally show she is strong, even with her being smaller then the other apprentices.
