My Butterfly

My Butterfly.

'Twas me who was there,

at the dawn of your rise,

Your hatching of an egg,

What a sweet sweet surprise,

I held you in my arms,

And tickled your toes,

Protect you from evil,

The corrupt world of foes,

The little baby caterpillar,

Grew bigger and stronger,

I was there all the while,

And will be forever longer,

Your smile and laughter,

Has outshone the sun,

You will always be loved,

My dear little one,

You grew to be beautiful,

A delicate butterfly,

I'll protect you my dear,

Save you of lie,

You'll never be alone,

I'll always be near,

I'll give you the stars,

You'll have nothing to fear,

Although we may bicker,

Argue and fight,

We are of the same blood,

We'll be alright,

Our bond will never crack,

Never be tainted of ire,

For fear of destruction,

Raging in fire,

You know not of your beauty,

You're oblivious to fact,

Your kindness and grace,

Heart of gold not to be lacked,

I'll love you for always,

Even when I die,

You hold a part of me,

My sister of the sky.
