Author's Note
Thank you for reading to the end of this story of poetry. I truly appreciate it. This was a mere twenty poems of which I had the joy in creating, however I will not upload the rest as I fear there would be too many poems in the one space. Twenty is the perfect number to end my work on, in my opinion.
I wish to make the disclaimer that a majority of my poetry have hidden meanings beneath them all, they are not just various descriptive words compiled together to create an elaborate piece of work with the label of poetry in mind. My poems require an outside-of-the-box deep thinker to decipher and analyze the true meanings. Some meanings of the poems are more obvious, while others not so much. For example, my last poetry piece entitled "Snowflakes" was about words and the abundance of different meanings in them. It talks about the describing winter, using words such as ice and cold to describe the beauty it beholds, while the same words can be twisted and contorted into describing something ugly, or brutal. My question for you, dear reader, is what was your interpretation of my poetry pieces? Comment and tell me, we'll see if you're right.
The rest of my poems are short stories, compacted into a few verses, most of them are about forbidden love, cliche yes I know however it is something that has always fascinated me. Take for example "Secrets" it embodies a description of a Prince falling in love with a Maiden who suffers from an already broken heart. It tells the tail of the two meeting in secret however being discovered by the King, the Princes father, who disapproves of their relationship. The Maiden, heartbroken not only once but twice fears that she will never be loved and never get over the feeling of being heartbroken, her thoughts linger on the act of suicide. Something that I would never condone.
So, with many thanks of gratitude, I leave you with many questions of my own. What was your interpretation of my poems? Which one do you prefer the most? How do you feel I could improve my writing? If you feel you are able please comment and let me know, I would be most intrigued.
Thank you all for reading once more,
Caitlin.
