12 - ROYALTIES

Third person pov.

"Kings, queens, princes, and princesses. I am greatful to honor you the soon to be king of melbourne. Prince Joshua." everybody clapped when they heard and saw joshua in the Hong kingdom ball.

Every prince and princesses were there. Even kings and queens. Joshua was there looking at the place when he suddenly bumped into another guy.

"oh sorry josh, i didn't see you. Want a truffle, i made it myself just don't tell the head chef." jun winked at joshua. Joshua can feel his body shake because of what his bestfriend/servant/crush did.

It was joshua's 18 birthday that means it is his last day of having fun before taking over the kingdom. That means less interactions in public, being homeschooled, more work, more etiquette lessons and no more jun.

Jun was enjoying his last interaction with the prince and his prince before going to boarding school.

As always in every year when joshua's birth day comes around they would sneak up the castles rooftop and celebrate it with him.

"as always i made you your birthday cake. But not just an ordinary birthday cake, i made two tiers and also, uhm...uhmm... Jeonghan help me made this cake." he said as he revealed a suited up prince jeonghan of the Yoon kingdom. handling the cake with the.

Joshua gasped as he was surprised by 11 prince. 12 if he include his kitchen prince.

Jun coughed as he smiled at joshua. Joshua remebered every single time he lied to jun. Jun asked who his crush was but joshua isn't ready to confess that if he would do that his friendship could be jeopardise. So he lied, he said he liked the ever so likeable prince jeonghan.

As for jun's side he was broken, the time he asked that question he was head over heels for joshua but his heels only hit his head.

"prince joshua, you have here all the prince of the nearby kingdoms and if you need anything i will be downstairs and Sungjae will be your servant. Have fun my prince." jun said in a too formal way.

"wait, uhm please stay. For the past 8 years we celebrated my birthday away from the others but why now?" joshua was bewildered and he couldn't let the boy who cared for him in since they were ten till now just go away. Also joshua didn't know about jun's resignation to study.

Jun's father was the knights commander but unfortunately his dad died between the war and his mother died in giving him birth. Jun only relies to his workplace until he saved enough money to continue his passion of cooking.

"sorry my prince, but i have to cover up so that the kings and queens wouldn't be mad." jun said while bowing to his prince but as he was on his way downstairs joshua grabbed his wrist and once begged for more but jun really doesn't want to disturb his prince in socializing plus he didn't belong to the aristocrats.

"joshua, i mean prince joshua i can't stay i need to serve down at the ball. I am sorry but i will come up here as soon as i am done." joshua nodded and lets go of jun's hand.

At the ballroom the guest were still occupying the whole space since it is not just kings and queens were invited but also aristocrats often merchants, politicians, and people's services.

Jun entered in a room were there are 12 pairs of kings and queens including the king and queen who raised him.

"i am sorry to bother you my king, but the princes would like to have their own gathering for the prince." jun bowed as the king and queen laughed it off.

"let him be jun and plus we told you not to call us king and queen anymore we are now you gurdians. Call us momm and dad." the king said as he ruffled jun's hair.

"and jun why are you working this late of night you should be with your brother and you should get some rest you leave early tomorrow." jun laughed as he bowed again. He smiles to think the king amd queen treated him like a part of their family like they promised to my father before dying in the battlefield. But he insists himself of still acknowledging the king amd queen as they should be.

Jun changed in his room at the maids and workers dorm. The queen offered him a room but jun kept his words of his acknowledgement to the royalties and he repay all their efforts to him studying by his work. He changed into his prince outfit and proceeded to the rooftop. Jun came in and he saw joshua and jeonghan were in the corner laughing and he could see jeonghan and joshua attempting to kiss each other.

Before jun would see the heartbreaking moment he ran off the the other rooftop and let his whole thing or feelings gone with his tears falling.

"junhui?" a boy asked that made him look to see Prince hansol of chwe kingdom.

"oh your highness i didn't mean to bother you i will go now." junsaid while hansol stopped him. This same event make him remebers the moment with joshua.

"don't go, i mean please stay for a bit it has been so long since i had a decent talk with someone."

The night went by and everybody in the kingdom went out and go home and the princes were about to go home also carying their crowns up high.

"well all i can say is goodluck with your dream and good night junhui." hansol said as he shook hands with jun before going down.

Jun walked to the party at the rooftop to see a sleeping joshua on the table. Jun took off his coat and started cleaning the place up and putting joshua in his bed.

The day light peeked in and jun woke up before he left he made everything straight with things around this time.

Joshua woke up remembering the past event in his head. He reached for the night stand and he felt something hard, a box figure.

It was a box of truffles with a note on top.

Dear joshua

I am sorry that i haven't told you about this but i am going to dorm school today. I have already left to start a new life outside the castle. Don't worry about me i will be fine my prince. Please eat your lunch and dinner as always on time. I will not be there to bring your food in your room. Please always be safe. This is hard to admit but i liked you, i mean i still do i even love you. But have fun with prince jeonghan.
