24 - ATHLETIC

Joshua's pov

I throw the ball hugh and jumped. I hit the ball and we scored another point. It was an service ace. I have been playing volleyball as long as i can remember. It was a part of me, and this was the only thing my parents supported me. I also know how to sing and compose music but my parents say i was cut out to be an athletic person than a musician. I didn't argue with them because they made a point.

Everyone cheered loudly for the point that won us the championship. I was mvp, i looked around the crowd and saw my family but then i saw him. I stared at him for confirmation is he really him?

"you did well in that service ace, and by the way someone is here to say hello." my dad moved to the left to reveal a tall guy behind him, it was my boyfriend.

"mingyu!" i hugged him tight as a reply of him hugging me also.

He pecked my cheeks that gave a small tint of red in it. "c'mon let us go celebrate, my baby is the most valuable player and lover." i smiled and my family giggled a bit. I looked back at my shoulders and saw my team congratulating each other.

"i will catch up." they all waved me goodbye and i ran to my team.

"the golden boy is here!" everyone cheered and pat my back.

"our captain made a good move back there!" seokmin smiled at me while removing his sweatband.

"how about the libero though he is kind of cool right?" jihoon interrupted us and we all laughed.

"you all did well, congratulations everyone." being in the group of 12 people is both annoying and fun. I walked towards the car and we drove off.

We arrived in what suppose to be a chinese restaurant. It was busy and i kept on looking around until my eyes landed on someone. I saw a tall man that is around my boyfriend's height he was pale and wearing the same varsity as mine. It was jun. He was the best spiker in the previous game, and also because of his tall figure he has a huge advantage of blocking the ball for us. I looked around again and a women came out of the counter approachinf the guy i was staring to. The women sat beside him and pats his back and hugged him. Maybe that is jun's mother, and they own this restaurant.

"hey what are you staring at?" i looked at the guy besude me and we were inches apart.

"nothing, just curious." he smiled and nodded. There was something in me that would be nice to know that guy, we have been in the team for 3 years and still i don't even know a thing or two about this guy.

Months have passed and we need to prepare again for the upcoming championship. I brows around and saw no guy i saw on the restaurant months ago. I looked around again and i saw him in a famillar uniform.

"hey coach." i looked at them and listen closely to what they are talking.

"we are very sorry to lose you jun, but it is your decision anyway." jun is leaving the team was the most understandable statement there is. But why?

"coach why is jun leaving?" jihoon asked as he looked at jun beside the coach.

"the coach from a university saw his gameplay and was mesmerized by how he played in the past 3 years. Now the university offered a scholarship and being the varsity player of the team." to be honest i never saw jun play, i was busy with my own things. I was blinded by glory and popularity that i didn't even saw his efforts. But i do remeber that he was suppose to be the team captain but he refuses it when he knew i want the position.

"well this is goodbye." jun smiled i looked at his famillar uniform. It was stylish yet formal.

"awww i am gonna miss the blocker that used to be beside me." jeonghan started tear up a bit.

"are we going to see each other again?" seungcheol greeted and jun nodded.

"of course."

Jun's respond was like the tounge of an angel. It came true. Their team was competing with ours on the finals. I wondered that they were a university and we are just a highschool but coach explained that they are competing in high school level and they were still in high school.

The game went off thrilling. All around was busy. We won the first and second set and they followed. It was thrilling.

I made my final move to score the last point. I jump serve it and surprisingly jun caught it and the game went on. To our fortune, we lost. I sighed as i watch our team in their exhausted faces.

"dang jun really had the best stuff their. Imagine a rookie in the school became the captain." hoshi drank up the bottle he was sipping and made me wonder.

"if only he was the team captain he wouldn't leave us." i said and everyone looked at me weird.

"hyung? You don't know why jun-hyung pulled out in candidacy of being the captain?" dino said earning me a profit of furrowed eyebrows.

"no, why?" i aksed out of curiosity.

"he liked you, back then. He liked you so much that he gave up his only chance of staying just to satisfy and make you happy." minghao said making me confused.

A/n: i am addicted to call call call guys please help me. Although jun got 2.8 seconds of lines i really liked how minghao had lines. Good job china line. And also my processing chancheol book is going to be uploaded in my birthday. It is in june 13 just 3 days after jun and 2 days before soonyoung. Thank you all.
