17 - PROTECTOR

Joshua's pov

The sky was dark and the temperature was still hot. Everybody went home from school while i still stay for helping the libararian to finish up the books.

After some time i decided to go home. I opened the school door and went out to the gate. I looked at the dark and majestic sky full of womderous stars. I looked down to see my shadow from the litted lamp posts. I held on my sling on bag that hanged on my not so broad shoulders.

I finally reached my house and the lights were all out as usual but the kitchen was lit up. I glanced at my brother who was watching tv.

"seungkwan, is mom home yet?" i asked and he looked at me from his shoulders.

"no, mom was out grocery shopping at night and dad is working overtime. But i ordered pizza and left you somr on the counter." he said looking back at his reality show.

I went to the kitchen and found a closed pizza box on the counter. I opened it and it was still full.

"is this box all for me?" i yelled, "yeah, i already finished mine and mom and dad's box are in the fridge. They could just heat it up." for once and a while this day turned around great but i have to still finish about a million of assignments because of one reason and they are called bullies.

I hate when they insist of making me do things that i don't even wanna do. But who am i kidding i am so vulnerable, i mean look at my body, it is so thin and i am to weak to fight back.

I was doing the assignments and i decided to take a break. I like at the wall closck and it is already past 12. Seungkwan's room was dark and i am guessing he is asleep.

I climbed down the stairs to see my mom unpacking her groceries in the kitchen.

"hey sweety why are you still up?" my mom questioned making me shift my gaze from the fridge to her.

"i am doing the tons of homework." literally. My mom sghed and kissed my forhead.

"don't stay up long ok?" i nodded and she kissed me again on my forhead.

"okay mom."

I ran upstairs to finish the reamaining assignments there.

I looked at my phone and saw 20 missed calls from jun? Why is he calling in the night. He always calls me afternoon. After an hour my phone rang again.

"hey, why are you still up?" i asked making my way to my bed after finishing all the homework.

"well, i can't sleep i miss you already." he said with a childish tone.

"it is like you only absented and took a rest like one day. Oh junnie you'll be better tomorrow and get some rest." i said flopping down on my bed getting comfortable.

"well, when i was out have you been accepting homeworks from other people again?" he asked making me stiff. Jun never liked me being pushed around. He was my no. 1 protector and lover. Atleast he is my lover and i am not his. It is more of a one sided one.

"No..maybe... A few... Yes... Shut up." i stated making him laugh a little.

"well those guys are gonna pay, anyway anything happened when i was out?"

"okay, the ninja turtles came out of their sewer, cancer was cured, brad pitt and angelina broke up, a new star wars movie came out, the fire nations atacked and the fountain of youth was found." i said making him laugh again this time loud.

"ahhh, joshie why are you doing this to me." i blushed at what he said and i turned of the lamp shade off the night stand.

"well then i am really sleepy right now," i yawned and i could hear a groaned on the other side.

"already?" he asked with an aegyo personality in that voice. I chuckled a little bit and i smiled. Maybe if i continued that confession about years ago we would be together by now. But no, he is with minghao now.

"why don't you talk to minghao? he is your boyfriend by the way." i asked. He was silent for a while. I screwed up, oh no! I didn't meant tp hurt anyone. I was just telling some truth.

"well if you are sleepy, i guess goodnight." he stated

"wait ju-" i was cut off by the phone beeping.

Am i that bad of a person?

I woke up and do my morning routine and went out. I waited for the bus and rode it. Once i came up, all eyes fidgetted on me and i walked towards and all eyes was still darted on me.

"hey!" i looked up as everyone was doing, i also darted my eyes on a skinny boy in front of me.

"what do you want?" i asked and he puts his hands up to a begging position. I know the actions and i started giving everyone their assignments.

I finally sat down and sighed. I was thinking about yesterday night and it really does bother me.

I walked towards the school while everyone was nudging there shoulders in mine 'accidentally' which is annoying. I ran towards the school door and sighed again.

Wish he was here to protect me like the usual. I walked towards my locker and saw him leaning besides my locker.

"gotten enough sleep?" i smiled at hiss sweet smile and his manly scent.

"no, actually." i said saddened and he furrowed his eyebrows.

"was the assignments bothering you again, i am so gonna teach those brat a lesson." he kept punching his palm and cracking his knuckles. I know what he is capable of, that is why i won't let that happen.

"something else is bothering me." i said softly looking down on the floor. I felt 2 fingers lifting my chin and i saw a handsome you man stafing back at me.

"what is it? Tell me!" he inisisted. I have to come clean.

"about what i said yesterday night.i didn't mean i was just..." jun shushed me and turned so that my back was leaning on the lockers. We wrre inches away and both of his arms are locking me in the center. Settling at the lockers beside.

"i know what you meant, you like me too aren't you?" i bolted my gaze in shock. He knew, and why did he say 'too'does he like me too?

"don't fool around like that your boyfriend is lurking out here and why woupd i like you?" i said making him nod.

"what if i told you that i don't really have someone to make you jealous and confess to me." he answered and i escaped his trap.

"is that so mr?" i looked at him and walked away.

"where are you going?" i laughed.

"away from you?"

"why would you be going away from a handsome, rich and popular boy like me?"

"your ego is to big that i don't even have a space for you." he smiled out loud and ran towards me.

"you know you still have a space in me." he started pointing at his chest.

"right here?" i hugged him and lay my head on his chest. He tensed up a but and he smiled.

"yeah that's the spot."
