I wake up in the middle of the night and feel the coldness on Daichi's side of the bed. It's been almost two months since he moved in to my house. Since then, we have been sharing my bed because "...there's no space for another bed and we don't have a spare futon." according to my mom. But, a month ago, he would always disappear after practice and comes back an hour before we leave to school. He appears more tired than when I first met him.

I got to school and Daichi seemed more tired than ever. The bags under his eyes had bags. He looks so dead. All day, he was a like a dead zombie. He kept running into walls and poles, and slept in class like normal, but would not wake up after class or when I tried to wake him. He didn't even react when people started to say that the cafeteria was serving ramen. Asahi said that even he has never seen him this tired.

During practice, he nodded off while inside the car and almost crash into a wall. Because of that, practice ended early for Daichi, even though preliminaries are a few weeks away. When Takeda-sensei made that announcement, everybody had some sadness in their eyes. Daichi exhaled deeply and apologized to the team. I understand that that isn't a good situation, but it seems as if he's kinda dissapointed in something else along with himself.

When everybody started to go back to their stations, and Daichi started leaving, I asked Takeda-sensei if I could follow him and see what is going on with him. He understands the situation and tells coach Ukai as I quickly change and grab my book bag and leave.

It's 6:30 and the only light source available are the illuminated houses and the moon. Daichi passed our house a few minutes ago and I am in an unknown neighborhood. I try to stay near him, but far enough so I can not be identified if he looks back. He gets near a very sketchy bar, and looks around before going inside. We're underage, so what's he doing inside a bar? I get closer to find out that there are "special services" there. Is this where Daichi's been disappearing to every night? Is he cheating on me?

I wait a few minutes peeking into the bar to see were Daichi is. Until a drunk woman yelled heavily slurred,

"Hey Daichi~... Why do you never fuck anybody! Do you already have a girlfriend? You know that you can't if you work here. But, I guess you could have multiple 'cause you're so hot..."

"Don't worry. I don't have a girlfriend." He replies.

"DAICHI! IS THIS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING FOR THE PAST MONTH AFTR PRACTICE!" I burst into the bar from anger boiling inside of me, to see Daichi in really short jeans shorts, shirtless with red elastic overalls.

When I saw him, all of my blood start rushing to where it shouldn't be. I quickly cover the growing area with my book bag as huge blush appears on my face. Daichi comes close to me and whispers in my ear,

"What are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here!" I whisper back, "And what is with that 18+ look?"

"This is where I have been working for the past few months!"

"But why here in this sex bar!"

"Mr. Sawamura!" A guy interrupts, "My office now!"

"Yes, sir!" He replies.

He follows who I guess is the manager to the back of the bar. Daichi told me to stay behind, which I would have done anyways so I can calm myself down. I was fine until the women started yelling at me.

The chants of, "What the fuck are you doing here you fag!" "This isn't a gay bar!" and "Just go and fuck yourself somewhere else!" kept going on for what felt like hours and to make matters worse, I could hear Daichi getting yelled at by the manager. I hear the word "fired" along with many curse words until Daichi comes out of the office with our school uniform. As soon he sees what is happening to me, he runs up to me and hugs me tight and leads me outside.

"I'm sorry." Daichi says.

"Daichi! What were you even doing in there!"

"Working. So I can pay you and your family back for how bothersome I have been. This was the only place I could work."

"YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY US  BACK!"

After that sentence, a few drops came from the sky, then a downpour. We start to run to find some cover. The closest overhanging roof was in front of a Lawson making me feel like a traitor to Shimada market. I sit down on the bench and look towards Daichi who is buying a drink. Both of us are dripping wet that the tops of our uniforms are transparent. Suddenly, a hand covers my eye.

"D-Daichi..." I stutter.

"Roll with it Suga," he says as he puts his other hand on my arm.

The next thing I feel are his cold lips on mine. A warm sensation spreads across my body as the kiss starts to melt. It didn't last that long, but it was long enough for me to realize that he did actually love me. He loved me to a point that was beyond my comprehension. I can't even understand that why I got so mad at him at the bar.

"I'm sorry Suga..."

"It's okay. I overreacted."

After that, a long silence came into existence between us, until we break it at the same time saying,

"I love you."
