amelia woke up, stretched, then immediately cursed when she realized why she was fully dressed. she thought about all the wonderful events that happened the day before and couldn't help but frown.

she fought the urge to stay in bed the whole day as she got up off the bed and walked towards her closet. her room was unusually bright for 6:30 in the morning but she ignored it. when she walked back to her phone, she gasped when she saw the actual time. 9:21. quite the nap she had. usually, she'd be freaking out but she was actually relieved. she wouldn't have to see cole nor timmy. and thank god she wouldn't have to see saoirse. she was one of her best friends but she was also on her death list right now. amelia has never felt so betrayed in her life.

she rolled her eyes and fought tears once again as she scrolled through her messages.

mommy <3:
off to work & dad had early shift too.
see u tonight maybe we can all watch a movie.

her mom probably noticed how down she was. great.

saoirse:
hey where r u? can we talk?

amelia shook her head. now she wants to talk! after a whole day of bullshit.

timothee<3:
hey do u need a ride?
hello
where are you?
amelia?
u ok?
skipping today?
need anything?

to her dismay, amelia's stomach filled with butterflies despite her growing hatred for him. she couldn't believe that he was texting her as if he didn't just break her heart. she let out a long breath before throwing her phone at the wall in front of her. she immediately cringed, hoping it didn't crack but walked out of her room without checking.

as she walked to her kitchen, she came to the conclusion that it was a sad, gloomy day. she felt like she might cry but she was just too tired to cry. it didn't feel worth it.

she made herself breakfast and settled on the couch for a long day of binge watching and frowning.

at school, timothee felt awful. he didn't know why he was still going along with whatever was happening. it's been too long since he's had an actual conversation with amelia.

he was extra quiet in his classes and it didn't go by unnoticed. saoirse made sure to meet him at his locker during every passing period to try to cheer him up. he appreciated the gesture but she just wasn't amelia. she couldn't make his day immediately better by just existing; only amelia can. he fucked up.

he tried not to visually beat himself up about it so saoirse's feelings won't get hurt. there he was. putting everyone before him. not that it's a bad thing but... right now it's a bad thing.

he found himself lost in thought and anxiety while thinking about how to talk to amelia once he sees her. his stomach hurt at the thought of her skipping school just to avoid him.

but his stomach dropped even more when he found a boy at her locker.

"uhh, may i help you?" timothee asked, fidgeting with his hands.

"um, i'm cole. but i'm here for amelia. do you know where she might be?" cole replied, looking past timothee. he clearly couldn't see that timothee was acting defensive and jealous.

"why do you need her?"

"we went on a date yesterday a-"

cole couldn't finish his sentence because timothee was choking on his spit. a date?! amelia?? his amelia?? on a date??
