earlier...

as soon as the last bell rang, amelia rushed to timothee's locker; this was something she did everyday and honestly, it was the event that she looked forward to everyday.

she leaned against his locker, looking around for a 6 foot tall curly headed boy as she repeatedly got pushed and shoved from all the other people moving to leave this hell-hole.

after a few minutes she pulled out her phone to text him:

                                            amelia <3:
                                          "timothee?"
                                          "where r u?"
                             "where for art thou?"
                                          "bitch tf"
"timmy i have to pee we need to go"
"i've been thinking about mulan all day if i'm not able to watch it in the next 30 minutes i'm going to tear my skin off "

finally, she saw him and smiled as she saw he was smiling, he probably thought her texts were funny.

she was wrong. he was smiling down at a girl who nat had honestly never seen before. he said some unintelligible words to the girl before walking off towards amelia.

"ready to go?"

she just nodded in response and found herself to be suddenly annoyed. she hated when girls were all over timothee. he had better things to do like,uh, i don't know maybe love and appreciate amelia. he was just too nice. always smiling and polite. poor girls, they are being led on yet he doesn't even know! she was probably just bitter because the last guy she was talking to cut her off because he thought she had a thing with timmy. yet the girl timmy was talking to clearly didn't know she existed and was waiting for him.

after arriving at timothee's parked car, she tried to open the door several times but it remained locked.

"unlock it."

"what's wrong?"

"unlock the car."

"no."

"timothee! please unlock the car!"

"please tell me what's wrong!" he was now face to face with her.

"oh my god timothee!" she was getting more upset now, feeling as if she might cry out of annoyance and frustration and exhaustion.

he pulled her by the bottom of her Harvard sweatshirt to the back of his car, picking her up and placing her on the trunk of it.

"tell me, amelia. or else we aren't leaving." he placed himself between her legs, his hands rested on her thighs as he bent to try to make eye contact with her drooping head.

"i don't know! i'm just tired okay."

"you're an awful liar."

"oh my god. i just, like, did bad on a quiz today in one of my AP classes."

"lies! you're hands down the smartest person i know, lia! seriously! the only thing you'll ever be bad at is lying!" she chuckled at his comment, making him smile at how well he knew her and at how pretty she looked when she smiled, even when she was mad.

"i dunno. it's just you were late to pick me up and i really just want to get out of here. i miss christmas break. i forgot how hectic senior year was." this was true; it was Friday, January 12th: their first full week back at school.

"i'm sorry, lia. i would've had the car ready if i knew you were tired. hell, i would have kidnapped you out of your last period myself if i knew!" she laughed at this, shaking her head and finally looking up at him.
