After a long, long, loooong debate, we all decided that since today is the first day of break, we minus well camp here in the forest. I mean, there's three cabins, a place for a fire, and a lake. What could go wrong?
Everything.
Everything could go wrong.
"I already texted my dad," I say to no one i particular, but the four boys and Ella looked up at me. "He said it's fine." I exhale. Camping was not my sort of thing. I was not an outdoorsy kind of girl. Everyone cheered on and I couldn't help but feel a little smile tug at my lips. At least I know they enjoy my presence somewhat.
As everyone else went into the cabins to change into a swimsuit, I sat by the fire. First off, I hate swimming. Second off, this was totally unplanned so I hadn't even bring anything. At all.
"Looking so lonely I thought I'd come give you company." Ashton's deep voice resounds from somewhere behind me. I turn around and look up at him. He was shirtless and sweaty and glistening in the sunlight.
Holy.

Ashton's POV
As I put my shirt on, I felt Taylor's eyes scour upon my body. I couldn't help but tuck my lips into a tight smirk. I wondered if she was just as crazed over my body like I was hers.
"Spending a whole day with you..." Taylor says before sticking her finger into her mouth and pretending to puke. I had to swallow down my laughter.
"You are a bad liar." I throw a jacket at her.
"That's in case you get cold."
I saw her cheeks turn a bright pink. I knew I gave her butterflies. Or even just a little heart palpitation. I knew I did something. Anything. I thought of something genius just then.
Walking up to her as she sat on the ground, I plopped down next to her.
I'm gonna do this, and if her cheeks don't light up, then I know she feels nothing for me.
I placed my hand on her cheek, trailing my thumb across her lips. Her beautiful green eyes couldn't even hold a stare with my boring brown ones. I bit my lower lip and sucked in a breath. Her cheeks turned pink.
She feels something.
My heart skipped a beat and I quickly pulled my hand back in excitement.
She. Feels. Something.
Oh Taylor, if only you knew just how much I really do adore you.
If only you knew how crazy you drove me.

Taylor's POV
As Ashton pulled his hand away from my cheek, I felt a fire growing not only on the spot he touched, but in my stomach, in my chest, in my mind. My god, If it weren't for the slight hatred I have for him, I would be a tomato right now.
Why'd he do that?
Things between Ashton and I have been odd lately. Not like a tension or awkwardness. In fact it's the exact opposite. I feel comfortable with him. I feel safe with him.
That's weird. Everything about him and I is weird. I hate him. I hate him so much. I hate the way he smirks at me and the way his ego swallows him whole. Yet I still can't get enough of him. Ugh.
"Okay you two love birds, it's about time for lunch don't you think?" Connor walks up to us, and I hadn't realize I'd been staring into Ashton's eyes until now. I quickly scramble and scoot away from Ashton a few inches.
"Yeah." I agree obediently. And now that he brought up the topic of food, I really was hungry. My stomach feels like it's digesting my own guts so it's great timing that he ask that.
