Veronica's POV

It's been two weeks since Lyra went back to Australia to take care of her father. I was very upset that she had to go but her father needs her so much. And the school dance is one week away,and im thinking on going alone. Why? Because all the guys who asked me out,well... I rejected them.

I really didn't want to go out with any of them because I know that they'll just use me or something similar to that will happen. I just let out a sigh and went to class. I hope I'll find a partner soon.

~time skip~

(Still at Veronica's POV)

Ahhh finally it's lunch time. I was just looking around while holding my packed lunch i made from scratch. Uggghh how am I supposed to find a table when I'm in a ocean of people? I walked around and saw a table with only one person on the very back.

I went to the table and greeted the girl who was alone.

"So... Who are you? Sorry I haven't really recognize you that much" I asked

"Oh... Uhmm... I'm Somi, Jeon Somi" she said with a smile

"Oh! What a nice name. My name is Kim-" I got cutted off

"Ahh no need to introduce yourself. I already know you, you are Kim Veronica right?" Somi said

"Hahaha yeah... I'm really sorry for disturbing your lunch alone. I really couldn't find any other table" I said with an apologetic look

"Ahh no need. I really want someone like you to be with me, since I don't really have that much friends" Somi said

"Ooo could we be friends? Cause you seem like a kind and caring person" I said while smiling

Ahh, when I said that I quickly thought of Lyra. She is so kind and such a caring person.

"That would be great!" Somi smiled

"Oh, I was asking... Do you have a date for this years school dance?" Somi added

"I'm thinking on going by myself cause I don't really have a partner, plus I don't really have interest on the guys who asked me out. What about you?" I replied

"Well... Same here. I think we would be the third wheelers" Somi laughed

"Yeah probably" I said while laughing with her

"Let's go to class now ron, and can I have your number? Cause i really wanna start talking to you" Somi said

"Ahh sure Som" I said

We exchanged numbers before heading to class.

Later on that day me and somi were texting about what we should wear to the school dance.

ron-So do u know what to wear?
Somi-Nope all my clothes are old and ugly
Roni typing.....
Somi-LETS GO SHOPPING!!
Roni-Haha i was just typing that sure tomorrow?
somi-yeah
Roni-Ok great after school meet me at the cafe ok bye for now i need to sleep its late
Somi-mm ok bye
Roni-bye

i turned off my phone,Brush my teeth washed my face and threw myself on the bed and drifted off into the dream land aka my favourite place to be in.

As i was drifting into the dream land i thought about somi she's really nice and reminds me alot like lyra.

I looked at the necklace she gave i turned on my side wanting to cry again but remembered somi.

I have a new friend but i will never forget Lyra.
