After spending 7 months on duty, Rd came home on leave.His father hosted a grand party for his son.

'Friends, I'm a proud father today. Lieutenant Randhir Singh Shekhawat, my son, not only made me proud, but also brought glory to our clan. I wish him all the success in his life' Colonel was trying to show his emotions towards his son, but his strict disciplined regime never allowed to express himself.He toasted for the success and health of his son.

After his speech, he got off the stage and hugged his son.Rd too reciprocated the hug by hugging his father tightly.His mother too came there.The trio shared a warm family hug.They broke the hug after some minutes when some new guests arrived.So Harsh went to attend them.

'Son, I & your father have a surprise for you.As you are on leave, we want you to get engaged atleast.We have chosen a girl for you.She is Sanyukta Agarwal, daughter of your father's friend, Colonel Kishor Agarwal.Meet her once, before coming onto any decision.' His mother, Mrs.Renuka Shekhawat, told him placing her hand on his head.

Rd was about to say something to his mother just then he saw a girl, wearing a simple blue colored Anarkali suit and matching kundan earrings.The girl was none other than Sanyukta.She had a fair complexion, big brown eyes and her waist length curly hair complimented her looks.Rd saw her and immediately fall for her hard.It was 'LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT'.Renuka followed rd's gaze & saw her son was staring at his would be wife dreamily.Soon his trance was broken by Renuka's voice.He realized that he was shamelessly gawking at Sanyukta, he scratched his nape in utter embarrassment & smiled sheepishly at his mother trying to hide his embarrassment.

'She is Sanyukta, whom we have chosen for you son.' His mother chipped & pressed her lips together to suppress her chuckle seeing her son embarrassed.Not wanting to embarrass her son more she went towards her husband to join him in attending guests.

Rd was searching some topic to strike a conversation with Sanyukta, when she came towards him.His heart immediately skipped a beat watching her coming towards him.

'Hey hi! My mom told me you want to talk to me?' She said clutching the end of her dupatta in her hand.

'Ummm...Me? No...Yes...I mean yes, but I was...' He stammered badly due to nervousness.

'Relax Lieutenant, Don't be so formal.Why are you stammering? Haven't you seen a beautiful girl?' She winked at him and gave a wicked smile.

'Call me Rd', he said sobering himself up.

'So Mr.Rd, What are you doing tomorrow? Can we meet up?', she asked with a sweet smile lingering on her lips.

'Yeah sure why not.' Rd said smiling and asked for her number.She happily gave him her number at once.This was the starting of a beautiful relationship.
