I should have seen.
I should have known.I called out to me and pleaded for a hint of emotion that didn't hurt to feel.
I toyed with me, played around, teased me.
Promised nothing, but implied everything.
I was ecstatic.
I smiled with a cruel lip and I felt a sinking feeling in my chest.
I had played myself.
And I had never known.
