Evelin's P.O.V :

"Eve! Eve!"

I heard someone calling my name when I turned around, only to see Annah rushing towards me, and waving her hand, meanwhile pushing the crowd so as to make her way towards me.

"Gosh! You are......so fast!"

Annah spoke while panting and taking deep breaths between the  words, as she has been running after me in such a huge crowd.

"Oh! Hi! I am sorry! I could not hear you calling my name due to my headphones."

I mumbled while taking my headphones off and paused my playlist.

" You are looking beautiful today."

"Oh Thanks Anny! By the way, I had not done anything special. I am in my regular off shoulder top and skinny jeans."

"Yeah! But you look nice when you leave your hair open"

"Oh that! I washed my hair today, and they were still wet, so I decided to leave them open."

"Well! I guess you were again planning to get late for your classes."

She winked, making my lips curve upwards.

"Yeah! Everyday story!"

We both had a hearty laughter as we walked in the college corridor, making people pass awkward glares and girls roll their eyes.

"Here! Look at that girl."

Anny chirped while pulling my arm

"Who? Jennet?"

"Yes! You know, her boyfriend broke up with her only because she had her hair coloured."

"What? People and the stupid things they do in relationship"

I exclaimed while shrugging my shoulders upward only to show sheer disappointment.

"Yeah!"

"You know what Annah! I hate those people who keep their selves engrossed in all this relationship drama. It's way too much for a person to endure."

"Yeah, but sometimes it's fun."

"How can all this be fun when at last what you are left with is a broken heart and tired soul. I mean, just look at Jenett. She was so happy with that nerd and was way more serious for him than what that idiot deserved."

"Geez Eve! You are such a baby. All these things are normal these days."

"If that's what normal sounds like, I am happy being an abnormal introvert who doesn't give a fuck to what people think about her."

"Hey Annah!"

Both, I and Anny jumped with surprise due to Xavier's loud greeting.

"Oh! Hi Xavy"

"Umm....hi Evelin."

Xavier almost whispered, showing a clear hint of  hesitation in his tone.

"Hi."

" I just wanted to ask, if you are free today. It has been a long time since we had a coffee together."

"Umm.....Xav-"

"Oh my god! Eve I think we are getting late. Let's go. Bye Xavy, We'll talk later."

Anny gave a short hug to Xavier and dragged me to the other side of the corridor towards the staircase.
