Illuminated- The Ray that glorified the Eve

Chapter-4

We talked for another half hour when I realized that I am still in the University. I asked Annah to cut the call and that I'll call her as soon as I reach home. Hanging the bag on my right shoulder I headed towards the parking area.

It took me 5 minutes to search for my keys, which indeed is a regular issue. My bag is too messy to find the keys at once. Every time I search something in my bag, I end up finding wrappers and loose sheets. Yes! It's not just a bag, it's a dustbin as well. I cursed myself everytime my hands get something that does not feel like keys.

" What the hell Eve! Why on this Earth did you throw the keys in this dustbin. You should have kept them in pocket."

Meanwhile, I cursed myself for keeping my bag dirty, I found my favourite lipstick that has been lost since two months. Wooh! Finding it was like winning a lottery in the most unexpected scenario. After shuffling few more items I finally found what I was actually searching for.

"Thank God! I swear I'll clean this mess as soon as I reach home."

I started my car and headed towards home. It takes me 15 minutes hardly to reach home from University when I take the short cut route, but today I was on the seventh sky. I wanted to drive more and enjoy the freshness of cold breeze hitting my face. I decided to change the route and turned towards the right instead of going straight.

I almost covered half the distance. There was a big smile on my face, the atmosphere around was calm and soothing , the music and the wind were in perfect synchronization. Though my car had some other plans. My car broke down in the middle of the road.

"Screw you! What the heck's happening."

I climbed out of the car and inspected what's wrong. It didn't take me much time to understand that whatever the problem is, it's not my cup of tea to fix it. I hit the car as hard as possible but ended up breaking my own leg. After constant checks and turns. I finally gave up. I stood there helplessly leaning my back on the car with my arms crossed when I realised that the group of boys standing on the other side of the street were staring me all the time.

Their stares had something ferocious that made me uncomfortable. I fixed my dress, being in an alert position. My sixth sense told me that something wrong is going to happen. While I tried not to pay attention. One of those whistled at me. It was extremely hard to stay calm but I pretended that I didn't hear it. I tried my best to ignore them, when I realised that they are coming towards me.

I started getting panicked, though trying to be as calm as possible. Soon they were too close that it was difficult to escape them. Two of them leaned on the car besides me. One of them stood on my left taking support of the dash board, meanwhile another guy with blonde hair stood in front of me keeping his hand on the car window covering me. I was covered with them all around me.

"Hey gorgeous, want a lift?" Said the blonde who was the tallest among all.

His statement was accompanied with a huge laughter by the assholes surrounding me.

"Shut u-"

"Hey Lisa, Long time, no see. I was going towards your home. It's good that I found you here. Come let's go together. I'll drop you."

An anonymous male voice came from the other side. Though I could not see, who is there.

Someone pulled me towards the other side. I saw a muscular boy standing in front of me. He had shiny blue eyes and jet black hair with spikes. He was wearing a dark blue T-shirt with grey rugged jeans that fits perfectly on his muscular and rigid frame. He had a husky voice. He was handsome enough to make any girl fall for him.

Before I could say anything or react he dragged me towards his bike. Shoving the helmet in my hand. It took me two minutes to understand that this guy is helping me and trying to protect me from these spoiled brats. He sat on his bike holding the handle firmly and signalled me to sit.
I sat without wasting a single second. I could feel his broad shoulders getting tense while the muscle on his neck was twitching constantly making him more sexy.

With one hit on the ignition he started the bike, giving the acceleration. He drove in a great speed, I tried to stay still holding the handle at the back as tight as possible, when he hit the brakes hard. My hands quickly grabbed his waist so as to prevent myself from falling. I could feel his back become tensed under my touch. I quickly removed my hands.

"So, Where do you live miss Lisa?"

I forgot to tell him the address and was expecting him to drop me at home. How silly.

"Umm,take right from the next turn and then straight."

I was too embarrassed to talk to him that I couldn't lift my head up to look him in the eyes.

"Ok then, Let's go! And by the way, it's Ok."

He said while pointing towards my hands.

I could feel my cheeks turning red, when the harsh sound of engine fell into my ears again. With the start of the acceleration I grabbed his waist without realizing that I have been digging my nails on his waist. Soon, I found myself in front of a very familiar building. I climbed off the bike, recalling what happened today. I rushed towards the building as soon as I got off.

"Excuse me miss. Lisa."

I turned back on hearing my new name.

"Thanks for the helmet."

Mr. Anonymous said while pointing towards my hands.

I looked down realising that I rushed towards the home with his helmet in my hands. My cheeks once again changed there colour from pale to crimson red.

I moved towards him and returned the helmet back.

"Mmm sorry!"

I could feel him chuckling behind me. While I ran towards home as fast as possible.
