"I think now, that all this melodrama is over, we should move for our classes."

I did not know why but being with Anny always does a magic to my mood and emotions, changing them from whatever it is to a really happy state. And that's another reason why I love this girl.

"Sure!"

Anny said while patting my shoulder, hard enough, making me wince.

"Hey Eve! Just look at this."

Anny grabbed my attention, pointing towards the main bulletin board of the college where all important informations are been given.

"What?"

"The college is organising 'Zenith' this year."

"Zenith? Wait! Isn't it the play that the college organises every 5 years."

"Yes! It's a very big event and the auditions are open for students who want to participate. Eve, I think this is the best platform where you can show your acting skills. After all, that's what you dream for."

I love nothing in this world more than Annah, food and yes, acting! I have always dreamt of being an actress and pursuing acting as a career. And not to mention, I am kind of good at this

I checked over my shoulder to ensure no one is watching me as I pulled the poster from the board and started reading it. In bold letters it was written ' ZENITH' with other informations saying that the play will be held on 26 June, that means I have complete 3 months for practicing, keeping a balance between the event and my studies. Great!

I folded the poster and kept it in my bag. Again, being conscious that no one watches me doing this. I winked at Annah after performing the steal

"Let's go!" I shouted while stretching my one arm upwards, that showed how excited I have been after reading about Zenith."

"So, when are you going to give the auditions?"

"What do you mean by that Annah? I am going for the auditions today itself, after my class. I guess I don't have many classes today. I will go as soon as my lectures are over."

I pouted at Annah meanwhile looking at my schedule for the classes.

"God! Save this girl! Look how excited this brat had become within seconds."

"Thanks baby"!

I winked at Annah before we both took our turns in the opposite directions for our classes.

" Ah! Finally all my classes are over."

I mumbled to myself meanwhile looking at the schedule to check, in case I have missed something. I had been so excited for the auditions that I couldn't concentrate on my lectures the whole time. The only thing I did for complete 2 hours is admire myself in beautiful costume, saying my dialogues and performing on the stage. It was such a relief admiring myself as the main caste.

Without wasting another second. I went to the theatre room for the auditions. Where I found Mrs. Johnson already sitting with pen and paper, writing something.

" Auditions? "

Mrs Johnson asked me adjusting her spectacles, so as to see my face clearly. It had never happened before, but suddenly I started feeling nervous. I don't know what is with this lady and her horrifying looks, even a strong person can feel weak on knees in front of her.

"Yes ma'am."

"Ok! Take the script from that counter. You only have one hour to prepare your lines. Any questions?"

I shook my head in denial and went to the other side of the room in order to collect the audition script.

I started reading the plot, and memorising my lines meanwhile other students, apparently two boys and three girls who were already in the room, performed there auditions.

I noticed that the other participants gave there performance in front of a camera which recorded there act, along with Mrs. Johnson and other team members judging them. Mrs Johnson made a full record of their performances, maybe for the future references or for finalising the caste.

" Next!"

I stood and went in front of the camera, at the place where Mrs. Robinson gestured me to stand.

"Ok! Lights off!"

And suddenly, all the lights in the room went off leaving the one, just above me. That means the arrangement was made in such a way that only my expressions and body was been captured in the camera. Leaving the rest of the room in complete darkness.

"Camera ready?"

Mrs. Johnson asked to the boy sitting behind the camera.

"And Action."

She shouted after been shown a thumbs up by the boy behind the camera.

I started acting the scene and dialogue, I had been given. Trying to give my best, with all the emotions and life I could bring to my character.

"Please Alex, don't do this to me! After all, this is what I waited for, since the day we first met. Please don't do this to me. I can't live without you. Please do-"

"Ok! Cut!"

Mrs. Johnson exclaimed. It was then that I realised that I went so much into the character that I started shedding real tears.

"Nice shot Evelin, you were very much into the character. You can go in the waiting room. We will be calling you after 5 minutes."

Mrs Johnson said while gesturing towards the room backstage with a smile on her face.

Wait! What? Did Mrs Johnson smile? That was something I never saw since the day I entered this university. I went backstage, realising that a special team of teachers and students is been set up by the university for handling the backstage activities and ensuring that nothing goes wrong.

"Evelin Scarlett Reed!"

I was called again, when Mrs. Johnson continued.

"You are been selected! We loved your performance. Go and take the main script for Zineth from the Rose room, your character is still not decided but you can prepare the plot till then. The list of caste will be pinned on the bulletin board soon."

I have been selected! I could not believe this. Zineth is said to be a very big event where the university invites many foundation groups and other highly esteemed people. Performing in it is like a dream becoming true!

"Wow Eve, Wow. You did it!"

I started cheering myself, when I realised that I am still in the middle of the room.

"Oops! Sorry!"

I winked at others, who were giving me horrifying stares. Making a puppy face to show my innocence, though it never works in my case.
