It's okayI'm used to being different, in more ways than one.

"Yah!  Are you even listening to me?" Jisung smacked Changbin's head, bringing him back to reality.  Changbin just threw a glare at Jisung before he grunted in response.  "What's with you dude?  You've been spacing out a lot lately." The two were walking the track outside of the school.

Changbin sighed and rubbed his temples.  "I... It's nothing.  I've just been thinking a lot."

"Pft, as if.  You hardly ever use that brain of yours unless it has something to do with writing lyrics.  Spill, what's been happening to Mogi hm?" Jisung feigned a worried tone, which annoyed Changbin to no end.

"Stop with that fucking nickname eh?  And I've just had a lot to think about.  My parents are coming home in a couple of days and you already know how that's gonna play out." Changbin semi lied.  He was telling the truth about his parents, but that wasn't the only thing on his mind.

Jisung let out a soft sigh.  He knew what Changbin meant by "you already know how that's gonna play out.".  Every time Changbin's parents came home from a business trip, they would pester him about college and his future in the business.  Changbin hated it.  He didn't like being told what his future was going to be.  He didn't like being told who he was and what he was going to do.  He wanted to do what he wanted to do, nothing else.

"Well, I'd offer for you to come hang out at my place for a day or two to try and relax before they get back, but Jeongin is making Minho, Chan and I all have some sort of bonding day with the Aussie." Again, Jisung let out a sigh, but it was more of an annoyed sigh.

Changbin raised a brow at Jisung's choice of words.  "He has a name you know," Changbin said with a slight glare.

"Yeah, but what's wrong with Aussie?  I mean, he is an Aussie.." Jisung argued.

Changbin rolled his eyes.  "Yeah, well so is Chan, yet we all call him Chan.  Just because Felix only just moved here and doesn't talk to you, doesn't mean you shouldn't call him by his name.  His name is Felix, so use it."

Jisung stared at Changbin wide-eyed.  He was a bit shocked at his sudden outburst, defending the kid.  "Yah, why do you care anyway?  It's not like you guys are friends or anything."

"Actually, that's where you're wrong, again.  Felix and I have gotten pretty close.  So yeah, I am friends with Felix, and I'd like you to be as well.  Who knows, maybe he'll be a good influence and help get rid of that inflated ego of your's." A smirk grew on Changbin's lips.

"Why you-" But before Jisung could continue his soon-to-be insult, the faint sound of the school bell rang out, signaling the end of their class.  Jisung threw Changbin a glare before running off to the locker rooms.  Changbin, however, headed in the opposite direction, towards the music hall.

Every so often, Changbin made it apparent to stop by the music hall.  Not because he wanted to talk to any of the teachers or visit with friends, but because he wanted to visit the Janitor.

The Janitor, who went by Sae, was probably one of Changbin's favorite people.  During his first year, Changbin had had a rough start.  He didn't really know anyone aside from Jisung and Jeongin, and he wasn't the most popular person ever.  One day, he got lost on his way to one of his classes and ended up in the music hall.  He had no idea where he was or where he was going, so being the scared and nervous first year that he was, he decided to just hide out in the bathroom.

About a half hour later, Changbin was discovered by Sae, who was cleaning the bathroom.  The old man took Changbin to his little office room and the two bonded over tea and Choco pies.  Since then, Changbin has made it a habit to visit the Janitor a few times during the week.

As Changbin approached the ever so familiar door, he heard people talking.  At first, Changbin thought that maybe one of the teachers stopped by, but he didn't recognize the voice from any of the teachers.  He crept closer to the door, attempting to get a better listen to the two.

"It's very nice of you to drop by."

Changbin recognized the first voice as Sae's.

"Any time!  You know how much I appreciate the fact that you let me talk to you."

Changbin couldn't pin the voice of the second person.  He knew the voice, but he just wasn't entirely sure from where.  The closed door muffled the voices too much.

"Of course!  I know you've had it tough here, so I'm happy that I can help you in any way."

"If you don't mind, I would like to ask your advice on something."

Changbin didn't hear Sae respond, but he assumed that the man agreed to help.

"So, I like this person.."

Immediately, Changbin felt bad for eavesdropping on the pair's private conversation.  He moved to walk away, but when the unknown person began talking again, Changbin's body willed otherwise.

"His name is Changbin.  He's a third year, but we don't really talk much.  We have semi-mutual friends, I think, and we sort of talk.  The most talking we do really is on the school's blog.  I just don't want to mess anything up.  I have enough stuff on my plate as it is anyway, and I don't want to add this to it, but we've been talking and hanging out a bit for a couple of months now, and he's really the only person that seems to be interested in knowing me."

Changbin was at a loss for words.  He didn't realize it, but he was standing with his mouth hung open.

"Seo Changbin?  Well I can assure you that he is a very special kid.  He has so much love and care to give to people, but he doesn't like showing it.  And as far as you're concerned, you seem to be the only person that Changbin has seen in the way that he sees you.  My advice, X, is to not rush anything.  Let things take their natural course.  The boat, no matter which way it sails, will reach land eventually."

Changbin was paralyzed.  All he could do was blink.  X?  Did Sae just call him X?  Changbin shook his head, snapping himself out of his little trance.  He quickly gathered himself and sped away from the music hall, his mind flooded with a thousand different thoughts.

Later that night, Changbin was sitting on his bed, attempting to write lyrics.  He couldn't focus though, his mind kept wondering to the conversation he overheard early.

Changbin let out a loud sigh and threw his notepad off to the side.  He layed on his bed, staring at his ceiling for a few minutes before he pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

After a few rings, someone answered.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Felix!  How's X?"

°A/N°

Heyooooo!!!  I figured you guys deserved an update after my little rant thingy earlier.  To be quite honest, I feel like this story is kinda falling apart.  Idk... That's just my opinion on the story.  Like I've said before, I'm really critical when it comes to my own writing, so most of the time I think it's all garbage😂. But please let me know if the story isn't really going anywhere or if it isn't good or something.  But yeah.... Changbin's figuring it out, hmm?  Ahhh good old Changbin.  Also, I'm not entirely sure how long this fic is gonna be.... I could end it with the next like, two or three chapters, but I have ideas to keep it going, so I might.  But yeah... That's really I got for ya guys, so I guess I'll be talking with ya fools later!  Love ya losers!!! <3
