Monday came around a lot faster than Changbin wanted it to. After spending most of the day with his friends on Saturday, Changbin ended up heading back to Felix's. When he got there, there was a note left for him on the counter saying telling him that Felix was gonna spend the night and most of Sunday at the hospital, but that he was welcomed to stay if he wanted to. He felt a bit weird staying there by himself, so he called up Jisung and spent the rest of the weekend there. Needless to say, Jisung kept Changbin up all night playing fortnight.
Changbin sat with his head on his desk, too tired to even bother paying attention to whatever lesson his teacher was attempting to teach. The only reason he hadn't actually fallen asleep was because someone, rather loudly, sat down next to him. He turned his head to the side only to see none other than his project partner, Ten.
"Were you sleeping during class?" Ten asked mockingly. Changbin let out a low groan as he sat up in his chair, rubbing his eyes.
"Shut up. Why are you even over here?" he asked. Ten shrugged and pulled out his folder from his bag, placing it on the table.
"Our lovely teacher graced us with the opportunity to work on some of our project, so that, my dear Changbin, is why I'm over here." Like usual, Ten was being his dorky self and Changbin had a very hard time staying cranky.
"Okay, so what exactly are we going to be doing our project on? I tried doing some research to try and find something interesting, but I came up with nothing."
Ten grinned and opened the folder a bit too dramatically. "Good thing I already figured out what to do it on," he said and slid the folder in front of Changbin. He examined the papers inside, reading what was on them.
After a few minutes of page flipping and nose scrunching, Changbin slid the folder back over to Ten. "Okay wait... you want to do the project on the human mind?" he asked, completely lost by what he just read.
Ten nodded excitedly. "Yeah! There's so much we don't know about it. Like, what exactly determines our personalities? Or what in our mind makes us aware of everything? It's actually really interesting stuff to learn about." Changbin looked at his partner, then the folder, then back at Ten. He let out an amused breath and nodded.
"Fine, we can do it on the human mind." Changbin agreed and Ten practically squealed he was so excited.
The rest of class, Changbin and Ten researched and planned everything out for their project. Once the bell rang, the two went their separate ways, heading to whatever class they had next. In Changbin's case, he had math but he decided to skip today. There was a certain art class he wanted to visit.
Changbin made his way down the somewhat familiar hall towards to art room. He had been down it a few times during his first year but he never had a class in it. He approached the open door and leaned his head in, looking around the room for two specific people. Once he spotted them, he made sure that the teacher wasn't looking and ran over to them, surprising the two from behind.
"Changbin?" Jeongin said in a whisper. "What are you doing here?"
Changbin smiled at the younger, "Well hello to you too," then turned to Felix. "Hey Felix." His voice was a whisper but it was filled with plenty of emotion.
"Changbin, what if you get caught?" Felix said with a worried expression. Changbin waved him off and shook his head.
"Don't worry, I won't get caught," he assured them with a wink. "So, what are you guys working on?" he asked as he peeked his head above the table to look at their work. As he was inspecting the papers, Jeongin noticed something on his wrist.
"Wait, isn't that Felix's bracelet?" Jeongin asked pointing to the silver bracelet resting on Changbin's wrist. Changbin drew his attention away from the papers on the table and to his arm, where Jeongin was pointing. Immediately his cheeks flushed a soft color of pink, but before he could answer the question, Felix did.
"Oh! No, Changbin and I went shopping Saturday and we got matching bracelets. I'm actually surprised that he's still wearing it." Felix confessed shyly. Jeongin nodded, a question forming on his tongue. One that neither Felix nor Changbin were prepared for.
"So like... are you guys dating then?" Jeongin's voice was questionable. Changbin couldn't tell if he was judging or if he was genuinely curious, but nonetheless the question made Changbin choke on air. Felix got flustered and started stuttering, not really making the whole situation any better. Since neither of them could figure out how to function like a normal human being, Jeongin just waved the question off. "Ya know what, forget I ever said anything." he tried laughing it off, but again, that just made the whole situation all the more awkward.
Once he was done choking and finally was able to compose himself, Changbin figured that he should attend at least the end of his class. "I'll see you guys later. Oh, Felix, I'm staying over at Jisung's for the time being, but you should come over and hang out today. You, me and Jisung can all hang out. Minho will more than likely be there too and maybe Chan. I honestly don't know with them so there could be a herd of llamas there for all I know" he laughed. Felix chuckled and nodded.
"Just send me the address and I'll be there."
"Alright. Well, I'm actually gonna get going now, bye guys!" Changbin whisper yelled as he left the classroom. The whole time he was walking to his class, Jeongin's question lingered in his mind.
Are we dating?
