The next morning nothing more was said about his other wives, but I had told Negan that Rick was planning on coming here within the next 3 days since I told him to hold off until I got him all the information he wanted. Negan had made sure things were in place and ready for when he came, so he was prepared.

"Think Rick is looking for me, thinking something happened to me?" I asked Negan. "Or do you think he figured it out, that I came back here to you."

"He could think that we took you back again. Or that you got lost or died. But we won't know until he shows, and if he shows." Negan replied, eyeing up a map.

"What are you going to do if he doesn't show?"

He looked up at me. "In 4 days we are due for our supply from Alexandria. If he shows his face here or not, we are still going over there to get our cut. You are welcome to come along."

"We will see what happens when the time comes. I am going to get something to eat. Would you like me to bring you anything?"

"Whatever looks decent." He said and looked back down at the map, pulling another paper out from under it that looked like a layout of something. Probably this building.

I turned and walked out and down to the pantry. There was a line for people getting things and I cut right in front and walked up to Sarah. "Hey Sarah. Mind if I go and grab a few snacks?"

The small heavyset girl looked up at me and brushed her knotted blonde hair from her face. "Go on. Just let me know what you take."

"Of course." I nodded and smiled at her before I walked back to the pantry. I grabbed a small container of applesauce and dug around for something that Negan might like. I came across some pretzels that were probably stale, but they would have to do. I grabbed myself a water as well and went back to Sarah.

"An applesauce, pretzels and a water, dear." I told her.

"Thank you, Sam. I mean Samara, ma'am"

I shook my head. Negan always had these people calling him 'sir' so they thought  should be ma'am now because I was so close to him now. "You know you can call me Sam. It's okay. I've given you permission multiple times."

"I'm sorry." She hung her head.

"Don't be. You should get back to work before someone gets mad."

She nodded. "I should. Good bye."

"See ya , Sarah." I walked off and back to where Negan was with his maps.

I heard some yelling or shouting. It sounded like it was coming from outside and I figured that someone was just getting into a fight or someone was barking orders at someone else like they did here. I walked into the room and Negan was gone, Lucille was gone. I figured he had to tend to some business and that's probably what the yelling was about, so I set the stuff on the table.

Then there was gunfire. Loud and a lot of it. Windows smashed and I ducked covering my head with my hands from the falling glass. I stood up and ran to the balcony that Negan usually stood at to watch over the workers outside. I opened the door and saw cars lined up with metal sheets on them for protection. Rick. He had come today. Negan probably wasn't ready because I told him about it this morning. Maybe me disappearing made him mad and he thought they took me again. People were shooting in all directions and before I knew it, I was nearly tackled by someone and pushed back inside where I fell and was pushed against the wall below the windows. I looked to see who it was, expecting Negan, but saw Dwight's scarred face looking back at me.

"Stay down." He told me. "We are going to push them back. Stay away from windows. Go get a gun and keep your guard up."

"Where's Negan?" I demanded.
