I practiced every day with Anarion from dusk until dawn for days on end. To be honest I don't remember the last time that I had eaten anything more than a sandwich but I had improved so much in the small amount of time I was training. Wolf had become worried that I was going to eventually become corrupted and killed by the sword but I could only feel myself getting stronger and faster.
"Cas, I think you should take a break, you have been at this for way too long and you kinda smell." Raven confronted me.
"Do I? I can't tell, hold on give me another hour at least." I said.
"Cas, please." Raven pleaded with me.
"Listen to your brother." I heard Anarion tell me.
I looked at him hesitantly then sighed sheathing the sword and resting it against the training room wall by the door. I walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower, when I undressed I finally caught a whiff and man where they right, I reeked! Maybe I do need to cut down on my training just a little bit. I stepped under the hot water and exhaled, this felt nice and I didn't want to leave it. I started to soap up my body and clean my hair thoroughly, I needed to make sure that when I came out of the shower that I was still a ball of funk. So I repeated the process about four times until I knew I was clean. I stepped out of the shower, dried myself, then got dressed in new clothes. I walked out of the bathroom and back into the training room where Wolf was standing with two wooden swords. He tossed one to me and aimed his towards me.
"Your weapons are both long and close ranged. You have mastered your shot with the sniper, a deadeye. But your swordsmanship, it is, for lack of better word, horrible. So now I am going to train you."
"I am not-"
Before I could finish my sentence Wolf knocked my feet from under me and I fell straight on my butt. He stood over me and raised an eyebrow.
"So what is not terrible?"
I growled and attacked with an overhead strike that he easily knocked aside, throwing off my balance in the process. With me vulnerable and wide open, he knocked me down again and aimed his sword at my neck. Before I could get up the Hideouts alarm system went off.
"Wolf, a demon has been sighted in the town right next to us." Raven ran into the room.
"Gear up."The town was intact. There was nothing broken or on fire and no one was dead.
"Raven are you sure that there was a demon here?" I asked him.
"Yes I am, the alert came from here."
Wolf groaned and turned around to go back into the car when he suddenly stopped and turned back around. He took off towards a small shop drawing his pistols and jumping through the window. Raven and I ran after him, he drew his rifle and I drew The Dragon Edge. When we entered the shop we saw Wolf suspended in the air by a young man with platinum blonde hair and a black cloak with twin swords on his back, a katana on his hip and a dagger on his thigh.
He dropped Wolf and looked at me.
"The Dragon Edge." He said and walked towards me slowly.
Raven put his arm in front of me.
"Stay back!"
"Can't do that, I am going to need that blade." The man said while drawing one of his twin blades.
In a single swift movement he hit Raven in the back of the head with the pommel of his sword then kicked him across town.
"Raven!" I shouted and instinctively swung The Dragons Edge at the man. He dodged and swung his blade at my torso but before it made contact Wolf's hand grabbed the blade and stopped it from moving.
"Get out of here!" Wolf fired a round at the mans face but he moved his head to the side and brought his knee to Wolf's chest.
Wolf stopped his knee from hitting him and used the momentum from the knee to lift himself into the air over the man and attempted to kick him in the face but he moved again, this time grabbing Wolf and slamming him into the ground. He placed his foot on Wolf's face and kept him there.
"Now then, the sword for your friend."
"NERO!" A female voice shouted.
The young man turned his head slowly.
"Heh...hey mom..."
A beautiful woman walked towards us, a glowing katana that was covered in black fire was in her right hand. Her clothes looked like they weren't from this world. They were elegant and showed the curves of her body really well, the bottom of her coat flowed in the wind and her boots had intricate designs along the side of it.
"What the hell do you think you are doing?" She yelled.
"N-nothing, just...talking." He said sheepishly.
"He was trying to take my sword." I said pointing at him.
He glared at me then turned to his mom grinning but she closed the distance between them quickly and slapped him across the face.
"What did I tell you Nero, you are not allowed to attack humans in plain sight."
"They attacked me!"
Wolf looked away and whistled. Raven kicked at the dirt and I sheathed The Dragon Edge.
"That doesn't justify it Nero. You know that you are much stronger than anyone here, even The Dragon Edge wielder."
"Mom, she doesn't even know how to use it."
She put her finger to her mouth and he looked down at his feet, I guess no one, no matter how powerful they are, will disobey their mother.
"You broke the one rule I gave you, and for that you are going to be punished. You, girl, what is your name?" The woman pointed her sword at me.
"C-Cassandra." I squeaked.
"Nero, you are going to teach her how to use the sword. You are going to stay by her side until I decide that you are done being punished."
"What!? That's not fair!" He shouted.
She glared at him and he sighed then turned to face us.
"My name is Nero...I am in your service." He kneeled down in front of me.
I blushed and looked at them both then at Wolf and Raven who shrugged.
"O-ok then N-Nero...teach me."
