Nero

Nero was always waking me up in the middle of the night or attacking me at random times to "keep me on my toes." He was insane, mean and he was always making snide comments at my sword skills. I could never do anything right according to him...but he did had a sweet side, every time I would hurt myself he would care for me. I didn't know why he would do that, probably because his mom told him to. A few weeks had passed since Nero started to train me and eventually he mellowed out, he didn't wake me in the middle of the night or attack me at random anymore. In fact he actually started to care about training me. My sword skills were getting better but I was no where near as fast as he was with his blade, that must be the Demon part of him.
"Hey Nero, can I ask you something?" I looked at him while he was putting my wraps on.
"What?" He responded.
"What are you?"
"I'm a hybrid, a mixture of two powerful races in one body."
"Which are?"
He looked at me and sighed.
"Tal-Vasoroth and Thedian."
"I have never heard of those.
"I have." Wolf entered the room.
"The Tal-Vasoroth were a race of demons loyal only to the Mighty Demon King who ruled The Underworld four thousand years before he was killed by his daughter, who rejected the throne and disappeared. Thedian people are strong and wise and hold the current reign on the galaxy we live in. They also have a great quarrel with Earth." Wolf explained.
Nero frowned and looked at him.
"You seem to know a lot Hunter, so tell me, where is your birthplace then? Because you know that monsters and aliens and demons exist now? What else is out there?" Nero questioned him angrily.
"I don't know kid but I have a strong guess that you want to 'put me in my place'" Wolf responded with sarcasm.
"There are Angels, Celestials, gods, creatures that could easily level entire cities with a single breath, but the most dangerous are my people and you better pray that you never meet one." Nero stared him down.
"Guys-" I tried to intervene.
"Shut up!" Both Wolf and Nero yelled at me.
I took a step back in shock and walked off to sit at a table while they kept glaring at each other.
"Look, I am here to help her master the sword so it doesn't consume her like it does everyone else."
"I can teach her to use it as well, we don't need a half demon to show us anything!"
Nero pushed Wolf and when Wolf got up he pushed Nero back harder. When Nero recovered he swung at Wolf and punched him square in the jaw, Wolf retaliated with a right hook of his own and the two went at it. I jumped out of my seat and caught both of their fists on my sword. Nero's fist hit the hilt while Wolf's hit the end of the sheathe.
"Stop it! Both of you!" I said spinning the sword throwing their hands back.
"You are both being idiots, I need you both and I can't have you both trying to fight over who is going to train me." I said looking both of them in the eyes.
"Cas I can show you more than this demon can." Wolf said wiping the blood from his lips.
"No, I can show you how to master The Dragon Edge." Nero said wiping blood from his left eyebrow.
"Both of you need to sit down now!" I shouted.
They both quickly went to sit. I grabbed a bucket and filled it with cold water then went to get a rag, I brought it back to them and I started to clean their faces off.
"Look Wolf, he is stronger than all of us, but I need you to trust him to show me how to use this, I know you have your own weapons but this is different. He knows things about the sword that IT didn't know it could do." I told him.
"Fine, if you are done training for the day, we have another assignment to do."
"I'll let him know."

When my feet left the ground I knew that I was in trouble. I crashed through a few walls and landed on my back rolling around until Raven caught me and skid to a complete stop. Nero jumped in front of us and crossed his arms to form a shield of Dark energy to stop a torrent of fire from hitting us. Wolf ran past Nero firing his pistols which stopped the fire from hitting Nero's shield and chase Wolf.
"YOU NEVER TOLD US DEMONS COULD BE THIS FREAKING BIG!" I shouted at Wolf who was running from flames.
"I DIDN'T THINK WE WOULD ENCOUNTER ONE LIKE THIS!" He shouted back.
"Less talk more action!" Raven said jumping into the fight while firing rounds off of his rifle.
Nero drew his blades from his back and slammed them together to make one sword, the swords flashed and lightning struck almost all around him. When it all stopped Nero held a sword that was covered in glowing symbols and designs from both of the blades. He rushed out of the room and leapt into the air slashing at the giant demons wings and head. It swung its tail like a whip in an attempt to knock him out of the air but he moved his body in a way that he was able to dodge and counter the swing by cutting a part of his tail off. The demon roared and spun around to focus its attacks on Nero. The demon brought its jaws down to bite Nero but he managed to jam his blade into its jaws and hold his ground. I ran next to him and when he pulled his sword out of its mouth I brought my sword up and split its jaw in two pieces. The demon reared back and screamed in pain as black blood spewed from its wound. Nero moved in front of me holding his sword backhanded. In a flash he had taken the demons legs and arms then made a perfect cut straight down the middle of it. The screaming stopped and it died falling to pieces. Nero stood covered in black blood, he split his swords and sheathed them. I don't know the full extent of Nero's abilities but I know one thing for sure. As long as Nero is with us we won't have to worry about anything.
