Raven POV
"Perhaps it would be more useful to start at the beginning." Owen commanded.
Raven looked at Owen and Axel, brows furrowed, thinking.
"Chto eto? Ty vyglyadel obespokoyennym." (What is it? You looked worried.) Ana's soft voice whispered, and his gut clenched at the pain in her voice. She tried to hide it, but the pain was still evident.
"Nichego svetlyaka. Bylo by luchshe, yesli by vy pozvolili doktoru vybit' vas iz sebya, poka on sdelal sleduyushchuyu chast'." (Nothing firefly. It would be better if you let doc knock you out while he did the next part.) Raven said as he gave her hand a squeeze. She got a wide eyed look and tried to shake her head. He looked at Sean, who was still checking out the large wound on Ana's side. He looked worried.
"Raven," Axel said, slightly commanding. "We need information to assess the danger risk."
"Yes yes," Raven waved a hand in his direction. "Hold your donkeys."
"Hold your horses." Corey corrected him, but he waved him off as well.
"Mr. Ravenstahl, we rea-" Owen started.
"Owen." Raven grinded at the disapproving tone in Sangs voice. "You can wait a few more minutes. Even you should be able to see that he is trying to get Ana to take the pain medication Sean wants to give her."
Someone snickered and a slight scuffle and then a light thunk were heard.
"Oww. what was that for?" Luke whispered.
Raven turned my focus back to the one girl that had held his heart since they meet. She was still looking at him with wide panicked eyes.
"Pozhaluysta, Ana, pozhaluysta, primite lekarstvo. Pozhaluysta." (Please Ana, please take the medication. Please.) Raven pleaded with her.
"YA-ya ... u menya shramy. Kogda ona zasnula, ona ne prosnulas'. YA khochu razbudit' Medvedya. YA tol'ko chto vernul tebya." (I-I- I'm scarred. She didn't wake up when she went to sleep. I want to wake up Bear. I just got you back.) She wishpered, tears gathering in her eyes and his heart clentched yet again.
"Vy prosnetes' svetlyachkom. Shon deystvitel'no khorosh v svoyey rabote. Eto prosto pomozhet vam spat', pozvolyaya yemu rabotat' na vashi travmy, yesli vy nichego ne chuvstvuyete." (You will wake up firefly. Sean is really good at his job. It will just help you sleep while letting him work on your injuries without you feeling anything.)
"Obeshchay mne, chto ty budesh' zdes', kogda ya prosnus'. Obeshchay mne, ya ne umru, kak Sasha." (Promise me, that you will be here when I wake up. Promise me I won't die like Sasha.)
Raven glanced at Sean, and saw determination in his eyes. He looked down and meet Ana's gaze. "I promise, Svetlyak." (firefly).
She nodded and turned her head to look at Sean the best she could. "I don't die, right?"
"No. I have stopped the bleeding, I just need to stitch you up and then you need fluids. I promise you will get better."
She nodded. "You put me to sleep now?"
"Yes," Sean looked at Raven. "Raven will be right there when you wake up."
Everyone was quite as Sean injected the pain medication into the crook of Ana's arm. It only took a few minutes before Ana was asleep. Raven let out a huge sigh and slumped slightly in his chair. He looked up and saw both team leads looking at him in expectancy. Before he could speak, Axel held up his hand.
"Everybody except Raven and Sean, go back to whatever jobs you were doing before this. Owen and I need to talk to Raven."
There were mild protests, and a glare from Sang, but everyone complied. Once the room cleared out, Axel motioned for Raven to start talking.
