As soon as i stepped out of the car a rush of cold air hit me making me shiver with a wave of nervousness stirring in me. I tried to get rid of this feeling throughout the ride by making small talks with keeley or singing with the radio, but still this stupid nervousness found its way in me.

Pushing the strange feeling i focused on Keeley gushing about the club and how much fun we are going to have tonight.

Partying was her thing since high school. She get along with everyone easily and is socially active.
You will never find yourself a awkward moment when you are with her.

Whereas me, I always avoided parties or crowded gatherings . It wasn't my thing to socialize and interact with as much people as i can. I was olny comfortable around my group or someone whom i had known for a long stretch of time. If i ever get locked in a room with a stranger, i would rather pass my time looking at wall than talking to that person or if i tried making a conversation with that person it would only end to an awkward silence.

So you would have known by now the reason for which i was avoiding going to club. As we were getting close to the club the sound of the music started increasing and i already had an idea of how loud it was going to be in there.

Before entering the club we are stopped by two bulky looking guards. They checked our id's to see if our age is suitable enough for our entery in the club. But we all know how easy it is today to get fake id's. All reckless teenagers do it nowdays.

Permitting us entery in, they stamped our left wrists. Entering the club i am met with deafening music and glancing around my eyes are met with sweaty bodies grinding against each other on the dance floor , men and women trying to hit on each other at the bar. Looking towards the staircase to the VIP area and the way to restrooms a look of disgust fill my face as i take in drunk people making out . All in all i don't know how to have fun at such places. Getting drunk, hooking up with strangers and don't even remember their name the next day and having a bad hangover is fun for some people and i don't understand why. My idea of fun refers to having small get-togethers with people who you know, having girls night out and sleepovers, spending quality time with loved ones, shopping and food .

My best friend's voice brought me out of my thoughts and i stared at her not knowing what she was speaking about from the past time. I was just nodding my head to whatever she was saying.

" ...........and he left her standing there at" she stopped talking and instead looked at me.

" You don't have any idea to what i was saying. Right? "she narrowed her eyes at me.

'Oh no i don't like her expression'

" No, of course not. I was listening to you the whole time" i lied hoping she would let it go.

"Okay, so tell me what i was talking about? " she asked with a stern expression. Oh no!

" Uh-uh " i replied with a dumbfounded expression. Before she could scold me or say anything else i cut her off apologising " Sorry keels,i zoned out. I promise this won't happen again."

" You better stick up to it."

" I promise "

Hearing my response her expression changed from stern to a full blown grin in a matter of seconds.

Phewww.... I am off the hook!

"Yayyyy. Now go let's have the time of our lives " she shouted at the top of her lungs gaining a few weird looks from the passerby's. I swear this girl.

Reaching the bar a bartender came to take our orders. Looking at him i can definitely say that he looked attractive. He have blond hair which were nicely styled back and pale green eyes.

"What can i get for the two lovely ladies? " he asked smiling at us which showed his left dimple. Cute! I thought.

" I"ll have Vodka " keeley ordered.

" I"ll stick with coke" i said gaining a exasperated look from keeley and an disbelieved look from the bartender whose name was Jack according to the batch stuck at his shirt.

" Your orders coming right away" he said nonetheless and left.

" How many times i have to tell you Ellie to let loose and enjoy the moment " she asked as soon as Jack left.

"Hey! I am enjoying the moment. We don't have to drink to enjoy. Moreover one of us should be sober to drive us back home. " i replied

Before she could say something else, Jack returned with our orders so she just settled with a disapproving look.

" Here are your orders and if you need anything else just call me. Have a fun night " he said and with a dimpled smile he went away.

We took our respective glasses and began sipping our drinks.

"So how are things going with Dylan?" i asked keeley. Dylan was keeley's childhood crush. There were guys who keeley dated and all but at the end she always ended up at Dylan. Her and Dylan's mum were best friends. So it was frequent for them to see each other. Dylan was of course oblivious of keeley's feelings for him.

Hearing Dylan's name she blushed deeply " He is coming home for dinner next weekend and we are chatting regularly these days. So i am excited to see him" she finished

" You are always excited to see him keels " i scoffed which only added more colour to her cheeks.

" It's just that we are talking regularly these days and he even asked me about my love life nowdays " she said sipping her drink.

As i was responding i saw two men approaching us. The last thing i want for the night was to keeley to ditch me for one of the guys and leaving me with the other one, to which she would later say that i need to have fun and have a boyfriend.

I just wish what i am thinking does not come true.
