chapter fifteen•I promise

Kenzie pov

I climp up the stairs

I remember all the time me and Johnny had

" Hey remember I love you" that's what Johnny said to annie

I cried and cried.

That I love you was supposed to be for me.

I couldn't be here anymore. I went down and went to my room

My mom is not here.

Ding dong!!

Argh can they leave me alone!

I open the door to see Annie.

I smiled

" kenzie what's wrong?" Annie asked sitting down on the couch

I close the door and sat next to her.

"I don't know, I just feel bad" I say

And I'm not lying to her.

"I'm sorry, I will break up with Johnny to make you happy" Annie says crying

Break up with Johnny? No she can't

" Annie nooo don't. You two love each other a lot. You make him happy." I say

Annie nods

" but I see that you are not happy about it" Annie says holding my hand

I sigh

"Annie, yes it hurts but look at yall two. He makes you happy and you make him happy. I cant never to that to him. I make him cry. I want Johnny to be with someone who really loves him" i say

I really do like Johnny just...annie makes him happier

" kenzie promise me Johnny won't get between our friendship" Annie says

" I promise" I say

Me and Annie laughed

" Wait why are u not at school?" I asked

"I went to look for you" Annie says

I smiled again

After school~~

" Wait can we get ice cream with the squad?" I asked

Annie nod and stared to text everyone

Maybe this year will be good.

Ice cream shop~~

" kenzie are you feeling better!" Lauren says running towards me

"Yeah I just needed some time" I say sitting down with Lauren

Annie goes to sit with Johnny.

We payed for our ice cream and just talked like nothing has changed.

" so homecoming is this Friday, after school let's go to my house. Boys in John room and girls at mine. Any question?" Lauren said.

Homecoming. I was waiting for Johnny to ask me but I bet he asked Annie.

Arghhh kenzie stop! You had your chance, leave them alone.

They kept talking about stuff. I was listening at first but I got distracted.

" Well that's not funny" Johnny says while everyone laughs

I wonder why they laughing at Johnny.
