The wine glass was brought up to his mouth, the crimson substance slipping past his lips. I watched as the glass was brought down again, his pink tongue darting out to collect the remaining liquid on his lips.

"So," he began, crossing his legs, "I told you a bit about me when you first came here. But what about you?"

I raised my eyebrows, chewing the bite of spaghetti I'd placed in my mouth.

"What about me?" I retaliated, folding my hands in my lap. He smiled, leaning forward in his chair.

"Tell me what I need to know about you. You're going to be here for the next three months, I might as well get to know you a little better," he explained, his eyes boring into mine. I leaned back in the cushioned chair, my eyes darting to the side of him in an attempt to draw my attention away from his soft, pink lips.

"Well," I began, biting my lip, "There's not much to tell. Like I told you before, I'm sort of......worthless."

I shifted my gaze to him again, taking in the way his brow furrowed.

"And like I told you before, you are certainly not worthless. Come on. Tell me... your interests. What do you like to do?"

I hesitated a moment.

What was he getting at? Why did he all of a sudden want to know this stuff about me?

"I.....I like to cook," I muttered. He smiled, giving me a simple nod.

"And?" he pressed, "what else?"

I took a minute to think.

What DID I like to do??

"I like to read. And draw. And garden. Gardening is especially my favorite."

He raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Garden? Really?" he teased. I blushed, looking away. Suddenly I felt embarrassed. Embarrassed that I'd even admit something like that. It was silent for a moment, the air around us heavy.

"I think.....I think I'll clear the dishes now," I muttered, hurrying to get out of my seat.

"Annie, wait," he sighed, gripping my wrist. I spun around as he got up from his seat, his frame towering over me.

"I didn't mean for that to come out like I was making fun of you. Gardening's cool.....really cool. What do you like to grow?"

I looked away, avoiding his gaze. "Food....I like to grow my own vegetables and herbs so I can cook with them. But I also plant flowers. Daisies especially. They're my favorite."

Jack had always thought my obsession with gardening was silly. 'Why waste time planting things, when they're just going to die eventually? You should spend your time on other things,' he'd always say.

"That's nice. Maybe you can cook for me for a change sometime," Harry spoke, interrupting my thoughts. I looked up at him, my heart thumping against my chest. Our eyes seemed to connect, his sparkling in the dim light.

"Ya...... maybe," I mumbled. He smiled down at me, his face nearing mine. My chest heaved with anticipation, my eyelids seeming heavier by the second. Soon his nose brushed mine, his own eyes shutting. I hesitated, panic setting in as his lips drew nearer to mine.

You're engaged, my subconscious warned, Don't go any further.

But I wanted to. I wanted to feel his lips against mine....just to see what it was like. But I was engaged....I couldn't do that to Jack, even if he was supposedly 'danger'. And besides....it had only been 3 days...I barely even knew him. But I was so drawn to him, to his presence.
