"Harry......" I gasped, my hands covering my mouth. He turned to me, a smile on his face.

There, against the side of the house, was a large rectangular box, filled to the brim with soil and mulch. Towards the back were what looked to be like tomato plants. Next were beans, then cucumber, pepper, kale, lettuce, and of course strawberry plants. And last, towards the very front of the box was a large patch of white daisies.

It was a garden.

For me.

"Do you like it?" He asked, a nervous expression upon his face.

Did I like it?!

DID I LIKE IT?!

I turned to him, my heart thumping against my chest. He stared at me, his eyes wide.

Before I could stop myself, I rushed into him, my arms wrapping around his torso. He stumbled backwards, but quickly caught his balance, his arms wrapping around my back.

"Thank you..... Thank you so much," I breathed.

He smiled, hugging me tightly.

"I thought you could use something to keep you busy... And I remembered what you said a few days ago, about how you loved to garden. So I figured.... Why not build one?"

I was nearly on the verge of tears, my arms still wrapped securely around his strong torso.

"It's perfect, Harry. I can't believe you did this.... For me."

He only smiled, a blush rising to his cheeks.

"I thought you could use a little cheering up."

I pulled away from him, studying the small patches of marked off vegetable groups.

"It's amazing. Thank you so much."

He nodded, rubbing the back of his neck.

"No problem."

I smiled, my heart melting. He looked so incredibly strong, the dark lines of his tattoos disappearing into his dark wash jeans.

He took my hand, interrupting my thoughts.

"Get back inside," he said, a bit more serious, "It's.... It's getting dark."

I blinked, nodding my head and following him as he led me inside.

----------------------------------------------
A few days had passed since Harry showed me my garden, and I'd been nonstop taking care of it. I worked endlessly, making sure everything was perfect.

Often times, Harry would watch me from the window. He didn't know I knew.... But I didn't think he wanted me to.

Today, I was staking my tomato plants. They'd grown taller. I had just finished driving the last stake in when a loud clap of thunder caught my attention. I looked up, watching as the clouds rolled in, a drop of water falling on my nose.

"Annie," harry spoke up, walking out onto the patio, "you'd better come inside. Were supposed to have a pretty bad storm..."

I nodded, quickly grabbing a tarp from the shed on the side.

The rain began to pick up as I struggled to cover my plants.

"Harry!" I called, the thunder clapping loudly as I struggled against the wind.

He rushed out, helping me cover the small box he'd built.

He had just nailed down the last corner, getting up to rush inside.

Only, he slipped in the mud, falling to the ground.

I laughed loudly, covering my mouth as the dark substance covered his t shirt. He laughed too, his hair falling in a mop around his head.

"Are you alright?!" I called over the loud rain, reaching my hand down to help him up.

He smirked up at me, taking my hand and pulling me down atop him. I screamed, falling into the mud next to him.

He laughed hysterically.

"Are YOU?"

I rolled my eyes, pushing him, quickly standing to my feet and running through the backyard.

I turned my head as I ran, watching as he hurried to get up, chasing after me.

We were laughing, running in the rain like little kids. And I love every minute of it.

The thunder boomed around us, lightning flashing through the skies.

I was caught up in looking at the pretty sight, too busy to notice him running up to me.

He gripped my hips, lifting me into the air.

I screamed, laughing as he spun me around, my hands falling to his shoulders.

He smiled up at me, his spinning slowing as he lowered me back to the ground.

His chest heaved as he smiled at me, the rain drenching us entirely.

"You're beautiful," he whispered, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

I looked into his eyes, my heart ready to thump out of my chest.

I couldn't take this anymore. Protecting me or not, I couldn't just sit here and pretend I didn't have feelings for him.

I leaned in, pressing my forehead to his.

"Kiss me," I panted, gripping his shoulders tight.

He hugged me tighter against him, his gaze falling to my lips.

"But-"

I wasted no time, pulling his head down and kissing him deeply. Our lips moved together, pulling eachother closer with each passing minute.

Despite the frigid rain slamming down around us, I felt warm. His lips, soft, and warm and inviting, crashed against mine.

I gasped as he lifted me, my legs wrapping around his waist as he continued to kiss me.

I gripped the collar of his shirt, barely pulling away as another loud clap of thunder sounded around us.

"Come..... Let's go inside," he breathed against my lips.

I nodded, hugging him close as he carried me inside.

Despite the storm raging around us, I felt safe.

I felt safe. With him.
