-Sam-

Brennen and I are our way over to my apartment that I share with Colby and Eva.

Eva stayed with Kat. Kat said she was gonna take her out shopping or something to try and cheer her up.

I hope it works.

Eva is literally one of the sweetest people I know. She doesn't deserve all of this.

Colby should know how she feels by now. It's pretty freaking obvious how much she likes him. Maybe even loves him.

Eva has supported us since day on on Vine. All the other kids at school made fun of us. Told us we were gay. That we would never get anywhere in life.

Eva helped Colby and I get to where we are. She never gave up on us.

She sat through countless breakdowns from both Colby and myself. When we thought the kids at school were right. She talked us into continuing to post videos.

Now we're here. And Colby is just ignoring her? It doesn't make any sense.

Why throw away such a good person for shitty friends who only wanna party?

"What do you think is gonna happen?" Brennen asked me.

"He's probably not even gonna know what we're talking about. He's gonna say Eva is being over dramatic." I said honestly.

"Is he gonna be mad at us? Ya know for siding with Eva?" Brennen asked.

"We're not siding with anyone Brennen. She came to us for help. We're simply helping her. It's not like we're gonna completely ditch Colbs if this doesn't turn out the way she wants it to. It's not about that. It's just about the fact that we've all noticed how distant Colby has become lately. I want the old Colby back as much as Eva does." I explained.

Brennen stayed silent but nodded his head.

We arrived at the building and rode the elevator up to our floor. As we approached the apartment door my heart started beating really fast.

I'm worried about all of this.

I'm extremely worried that the Colby I knew from Kansas might be gone.

I unlocked the door and walked in hanging my keys on the rack. Brennen followed me through the door.

"Eva? Is that you Eva?" I heard Colby coming down the hallway. He was practically jogging.

He came face to face with me and frowned.

"Is Eva with you? Her and I fought again." Colby said sounding sad.

"No she's not." I said.

"Damnit. She said she was going to Kat's. I figured she would come back with you." Colby sounded stressed.

He looks like he hasn't really slept either.

I know Eva didn't. She had maybe 2 or 3 hours max.

He looked just about as bad as she did.

"She did come to Kat's. They're out at the mall." I said.

"Oh thank God she's okay. I thought she was actually moving out." Colby said and then looked scared of what I would say next.

"That's why we're here bro. She really does wanna move out. And if Kat' s roommates aren't cool with her staying there, she's gonna come stay with me." Brennen spoke for the first time since we got here.

"Fuck. No. She can't leave." Colby groaned.

"You need to know something about Eva." I said. Brennen nudged me and gave me a look telling me not to say anything.

But I already have my mind set.

"What is it?" Colby asked.

"She likes you Colby. A lot. That's why she's been acting the way she is. Colby, you stumbling in covered in hickeys hurts her more than you could even imagine. She came to Kat's and completely broke down because of it." I explained.

"She's been there for you since day one bro. You can't just toss her to the side." Brennen added.

"Oh fuck." Colby muttered. His eyes widened, then instantly went back to normal.

He covered his face with his hands and let outta frustrated sigh.

And it was this moment, I caught a glimpse of Colby's eyes. And I knew he liked her too. Just as much as she liked him.
