I ate, but only a little. I didn't wanna waste the food Brennen made me. I wasn't really in the mood to eat, but it's whatever.

We're on our way to Kat's, well actually we just parked outside of her apartment.

"Are you ready for this? You know Sam didn't mean to upset you. He just thought-" He started but I cut him off.

"He just thought if Colby knew had clean up his act. I know. But that doesn't make it right." I snapped slightly.

"I know. I know." He said quietly getting out of the truck.

We walked up to Kat's door in silence. Not even a whisper. Not even a breath could be heard between the two of us. Just our footsteps hitting the pavement.

We didn't even knock we just walked in and saw Sam and Kat sitting on the couch talking.

"Hey babes. How you feeling?" Kat asked me, getting to her feet.

"Just peachy." I mumbled.

"I'm really sorry Eva. If I made things worse I'm sorry. Even if things end up being better, I'm still sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. I just wanted to help." Sam started rambling.

"I know Sam. But that was my business to tell him. Not yours." I stated with a blank expression.

"I know Eva. I know." Sam said covering his face with his hands. Rubbing his eyes.

That's when I noticed that he looks about the same as I do. He must not have slept very well either.

"He didnt." Kat said.

Oh shit I said that out loud didn't I. Great.

"Do you wanna go back and see if we can talk to Colbs?" Sam asked.

"We'll all come with you." Kat said. And Brennan nodded.

"Do I have a choice? It's still technically my house too. I have stuff there still. I have to go back eventually." I said sadly.

"We'll the sooner the better. Cause our lease is up soon Eva. And we'll be moving in less than a month at this point. You can either resolve this now, and move in to the house with us, or you can wait until it's to late and have no choice but to go home to Kansas. And I would hate to see that happen." Sam explained.

I let out a sigh and hung my head.

"Let's go guys." I said spinning in my heels and walking towards the door.

I wasn't planning on seeing Colby today. But I also don't wanna go back to Kansas.

I wanna be here when we get to move in with all my new friends that I made here.

And I sure as hell don't wanna miss it when we take a trip to Australia like Elton is planning for a few of us. Or Japan. Or even fucking Utah. I wanna see the world with my best friends.

And I can't do that if I give up now.
