So righteously along
Slender and upright,
What then branched there,
Sudden and against tide?Against norms of the usual
It was deemed not to survive,
The other trees knew that
With a guarantee tight.As years fell by though,
It grew to its might,
Stronger and taller than the rest,
A survivor in the fight.Reaching the prime of its time
In spite of the odd path taken,
The standalone tree it was now known
To the onlookers so mistaken.
