CREE'S POV

Jack and Jace's reign of terror came to an end when their own sisters turned against them.

The police were called to the scene, and over the course of the next few days. The truth about Jack and Jace's corruption were laid bare for all to see.

Addie and Riele thought they'd be going straight to jail for everything they have done. But due to the nature of brainwashing, they were instead given a tag and regular therapy.

Me, Lizzy and the guys were given time off the school to recover, and have been living in the mansion with Addie and Riele.

Two weeks later..

"That was the first decent right's sleep I've ever had since everything happened."  I said.

"Me too. I think I've finally beaten the insomnia." Lizzy said.

"Ah, girls, you're up." Mace said.

"Morning boys. How were the nightmares this time?" Lizzy asked.

"Yeah. Were they bad as last night?" I asked.

"You know what? Surprisingly no. I think it's the first time since everything happened that we've have a goodnight's sleep." Thomas said.

"We were just thinking the exact same thing." I said.

They walk to us.

"We woke up about one a.m. and cried for a bit before going back to sleep." Mace siad.

"But eventually the tears dried up and there were no more left to shed." Thomas said.

"We have no idea. Why didn't you wake us up?" Lizzy asked.

"There was no need. We're going to upset. There's no changing that." Mace said.

"And you were sleeping like angels." Thomas said.

"We didn't want to disturb you, especially since you've been finding it so hard to sleep recently too."

"But the good thing is.. When we did go back to sleep, we slept like a baby right through until the morning." Mace said.

"I mean..  we miss them. We really do."

"But everytime, we feel that longing, we remind ourselves that the older brothers we knew weren't the truth." Thomas said.

"The older brothers we thought we knew didn't really exist." Mace said.

"Underneath that facade were someone else."

"Someone completely rotten to the core." Thomas said.

"We feel a sense of calm. All our lives we've harboured hatred for the people we thought killed James." Mace said.

"All our lives have been dedicated to vengeance. And the person who really did kill James are dead." Thomas said.

"Despite the nature of these revelations, there's a kind of peace to it all." Mace said.

"The hatred is over. For those of us who are left, we can finally begin to recover." Thomas said.

"Rebuild from the ashes." Mace said.

"Yeah.. Although we still can't get over all those Immortals dying in front of our eyes." I said.

"Johnny, Kenzie, Annie and Hayden.. All four of them wwre young. Late teens, twenties maybe." Lizzy said.
