Little girl
Gazing at the stars
Little girl
Wondering where they are
Little girl
Not running from the dark
A girl
Sometimes
Looking at the stars
A girl
Already knows
She will learn where they are
A girl
Slowly starting
To draw away from the dark
Grown up girl
Once a year
Glancing at the stars
Just to find north
Grown up girl
Learned
And doesn't wander where they are
The facts are not to question
Grown up girl
Mortally
Afraid of the dark
And what lies in it
Old girl
Never again
Looking at the stars
For it only wastes time
Such childish act
Old girl
Never again
Wondered where they are
For the truth has been spoken
And she lost the habbit of questioning
Old girl
Never again
Stepped into the dark
For what might lie in there
Was fear
Little girl
Used to wander
Used to look
Used to accept
A girl
Who tried to bend
To fit in
So she threw away
What made her a child
Grown girl
Who is part of society
Who listens
Who obeys
And who threw away
What made her different
Old girl
Who just follows
The old rules
Set upon her
Long time ago
And who threw away
What made her unique
