Chapter 10

I search through my draws and find a long blue jersey that goes over my wrists and just touches the tops of my thighs. I tug on a blue ripped jeans with a couple of faded places, and finally I pull my boots on. After brushing my hair, I skip downstairs and meet Kyle by the door.

Kyle is dressed in black ripped jeans and a tight blue shirt with a black leather jacket and his own boots. His messy black curly hair is bushy in the front and topples slightly over his forehead. He's got black studs in his ears. I for one, love piercings and have a pair of helix piercings and 2 pairs of earlobe piercings in each ear. I have small colourful gems on basically all the time. I'm too lazy to change them often.

"Oh wow. You look good. I'm sorry I'm not taking you somewhere special, I mean I'd love to take you. But my job doesn't pa-"

I hold my hand up. "It's okay. We just going to dinner. I really just want to get out the damn house..." he looks at me and I grab his arm. "Oh come on we're not gonna magically appear at the place." I give him a small smile as we exit the house. When we reach his little white car, he opens my door and I get in while flashing him a broad smile.

He in turn gives me a smile and his shallow dimples show slightly. As he gets in the car a comfortable silwnce settles between us and after buckling up, we are on our way. The sky is beautiful as the sun sets, purples and dark blues light up the sky. The stars are just coming out and the moon becomes brighter as we drive down the main road.

About 5 mins later we park in front of a little Greek restaurant, it's a local favorite so it's packed. As we get to the door someone calls out to me "Dianne!!" I spin around to see Trevor coming towards me, I lift my hand and turn to head inside with Kyle. "Hey, wait up!" He calls out again as I am about to enter.

I stop and turn to face him, as he reaches me he places his hands on his knees as he heaves. "Hey Trevor. What's wrong? Where were you? Seems like you've ran a distance?" I fold my arms over my chest as a very red Trevor looks up at me.

His red hair plastered to his forehead, his pale complexion is now very flushed. His brown eyes flash curiously between me and Kyle. "Well... I saw you get out the car. I thought you were alone..." he looks at Kyle as he says this, Kyle glares back at him. "Anyway... I thought I'd come over and say hello..." he shuffles his feet as he looks down. "But I see you're busy... sooo I'll just be going."

As he turns to leave I grab his forearm "What do you want Trevor?" I ask with a hint of annoyance.

"I... never mind..." he tries to leave again but I hold him in place. He sighs and looks across at Kyle "I wanted to take you out, okay? Happy?" I'm speechless "but I see you're already busy- wait a minute, does Jayden, your boyfriend, know you're here with him?" I freeze.

"H-how did you know? We haven't gone public yet..." his eyes go wide and he goes even more red, if that's possible. I loosen my grip on his arm as he pulls away.

"I... uh... I heard... from s-someone" he mumbles and stutters. "Well... I better go..." he turns on his heels and begins to practically run away.

"WAIT!! How did you know?!" He just carries on scurrying away, I look at Kyle and see he has narrowed his eyes and a deep frown is set on his face. I sigh and nudge him towards the door "come on... let's eat... I'm hungry." I earn a small smile from him as I tuck my arm into his.

We make our way amongst all the customers. As we settle by a small table by the window, there are a few people whispering and when I turn around they look away and try to act all normal. But those glances and stares don't go unnoticed by me nor by Kyle.

He gently grabs my hand and looks at me with tenderness "come on... don't think about it. It's just me and you okay?" I nod and am about to respond when the waitress appears with our menus.
