The aches and pains faded quickly now, bruises healing in mere minutes. Fortunately for her because Jayden picked up right where Shiva left off. Cutie had gotten better defending herself, taking less of a beating as the week wore on.

For some reason the mist never came when sparring with Shiva or Jayden. She thought maybe she needed to be angry for the mist to appear but that didn’t work. Imagining her fears or invoking the hatred for her parents did nothing either. How and why the mist appeared continued to baffle her.

Sleeping was a luxury long forgotten. Jayden’s herbs helped to keep her alert but she was becoming a bit too reliant on them. There were no clocks in the training facility but Cutie figured the most she’d slept was four or five hour’s tops. Her training was first and foremost Shiva had explained the first night here, sleep would come when she was dead.

All her waking hours were spent training. Fitness when she woke, martial arts until early evening, then more fitness until it was time to sleep. She even read while eating her meals. All of this threatened to drive her mad.

Cutie much preferred training with the breathtakingly hot Jayden, over the relentless Lady Shiva. The tall hunk of a man stood half naked in front of her now, sweat dripping off his perfectly toned muscles. She found her eyes drifting to his tight shorts again. He wore them like a second skin, leaving little to the imagination.

He smiled and her breathe caught. Thankfully the cloudy mist that engulfed her eyes hide where she stared, or she would have died of embarrassment. Smiling back, Cutie couldn’t help but think that Jayden was the most perfect men she’d ever seen in her life, and he wanted her.

Jayden made advances while they rested, often rubbing her sore muscles for her. At first Cutie tried to keep her guard up, not showing her eagerness. But the more time she spent with the charming hunk, the more her guard melted away. When he spoke, his words were music to her ears. When he walked, the sight of his muscles moving sent shivers down her spine. When he left, she yearned to be with him again.

Something in the back of her mind told her to be careful, like a soundless voice. It felt as though it was trapped behind a wall, trying to break its way free. It fought the hardest when Jayden offered to see her to her room. She’d managed to decline each time but it was beginning to become harder the more she was with him. Still, she’d been hurt before and wouldn’t let that happen again.

“It’s only been eight days, and you can almost keep up with me Kitten.” Jayden commended her.

When sparing, she knew he held back, fearing to hurt her too badly. Not so for her cardio though, the man was relentless about that. She’d always been athletic, taking good care of her body but Jayden had brought her conditioning up to a whole new level.

Picking up a towel from a bench Jayden wiped his brow. “Not too many women can make me sweat like this, and you Kitten do it all so easily.” He said with a coy smile.

Feeling her checks redden, Cutie averted her eyes to the floor. “I’ve always been in good shape, having the brother I do, always helped drive me, keep me focus.” Ren had always insisted she work out, often dragging her out of bed early in the morning. Appreciating his efforts now, she whispered a silent thank you to him.

“It must have been hard having a brother in the spotlight all the time.” Jayden asked. “Being an all American football player and all.”

“You forgot baseball, basketball, tennis, hockey. He’s even on the dean’s list. Oh plus he’s a fucking model.” Cutie scowled. Just once she’d like to see Ren fail at something.
