Larry worked the bat in his hands as he slowly circle her, trying to gain the advantage. Standing perfectly still with the head of her bat resting on the floor, Cutie waited for him to make his move. She’d been successful defending his attacks so far. He’d landed just a few of blows to the arms and legs. Already the pain was subsiding allowing her to work her arm more freely.

Landing a few hits of her own at the beginning Cutie thought she was going to win this time. That hadn’t happen and Larry now dictated the pace of the fight. He’d quickly figured out she only had three moves, evading them easily now. It was only a matter of time before he broke her defense and finish the fight.

Making his move Larry stepped forward swinging his bat arcing down at her. Bringing hers up, Cutie’s bat deflected his. Punching out with her brass knuckles she aimed for his head but missed. Larry following through, brought his knee up into her stomach doubling her over. With a quick swing of his bat he hit her in the shoulder, sending her face first to the floor.

“No, no, no.” The Joker yelled. “Hit him before her hits you.”

The last two days had been spent inside the loonie bin as Cutie came to call the Joker’s hide out. The Joker insisted she knew how to handle herself in a fight. The problem was they never fought fair. She understood the lesson he was trying to teach her but short of pulling out a gun and shooting Larry there was no way she could beat the bigger stronger man.

“I’m fu… I’m trying damn it.” She said getting up. She watched Larry take back his spot on the couch beside Buster. “You guys are horrible teachers.” She grumbled half to herself. She’d been getting her butt kicked steadily, landing a punch here or a kick there but nothing that compared to what she received. At least she was still healing at a quick rate, often healing completely before they made her fight again.

“Awe you’re getting better sweet pea. Soon you’ll be bashing in skulls like the rest of us.” Harley beamed, offering encouragement from her spot standing beside the Joker.

“Learning at a snail’s pace.” Abner snickered.

Tossing her stupid hat and coat on the floor she glared at Abner. “How about you put that box of Twinkies down a minute, so I can kick your ass fatty McFats.”

Growling Abner wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “Be my pleasure tomboy.” He grinned tossing the box of Twinkies on the floor.

“Now why’d you go doing that for?” Cutie sighed pointing to the box. “How you gonna pick that up? We all know you’re too fat to bend over and do it yourself, and I’m not doing it for you.”

“Are you two just gonna trade insults all day, or are you gonna fight?” The Joker yelled. “C’mon, its shark week and I don’t want to miss the new episode.” He giggled.

Abner snorted and spit on ground as he eyed her. “I’m not going easy on you like the others tomboy.” He told her, pointing his bat at her.

“Just bring it tub of fun.” Cutie growled raising her own bat. She needed a new strategy, that was apparent. The one she was using wasn’t working at all. Until now she’d been defending, reacting when they moved to attack her. She needed to go on the offensive. Forming a plan in her head she grinned at the fat man glaring back at her.

“I’m gonna mess that pretty little face up bitch.” Abner taunted stepping towards her.

“Awe, so you do think I’m pretty.” Cutie smiled blowing him a kiss. Kicking off her clown shoes she leaned back onto her back leg.
