As Bobbi entered the dimly lit and empty diner, she didn't expect to be greeted by Jughead sat at a booth anxiously.
"You're late." He said bluntly not even turning around to look at her, however Bobbi could hear the smile of his face and amusement in his voice.
"You said five minutes." Bobbi replied, she had taken three so she wasn't late, she sat in front of Jughead who grinned at her.
"I'm pretty sure you changed it to two." He raised his eyebrow at the girl and smirked. Bobbi sighed and lightly laughed.
"You got me." She shrugged her shoulders and raised her hands in defeat. The boy sat across from her couldn't help but admire everything about her. She looked beautiful.
The two just smiled at each other in silence, neither of them wanting to start the conversation they were there to have, neither of them wanting to maybe ruin the moment. Their feelings for each other were undeniable and both knew of the others however the thought of admitting it aloud scared them, in fear of being rejected.
When one did decide to speak up, it was stopped by the other talking at the same time, to which they lightly laughed at before going back to the sort of uncomfortable silence. They both wished one of their friends were here to give them a push, make them speak to one another.
Bobbi couldn't help but think this was like the awkward first date with someone you just met, however she didn't understand why, her and Jug hadn't just met, and they both knew of the others feelings. Was it the fear of rejection? or the fear of making it official?
"Jughead." She finally spoke up, wanting to get this over with, wanting to be with him. She decided just to go for it. "I think what I'm about to say has been made pretty obvious over the past few weeks, but I think it's better you hear it from me. Jughead Jones, I like you, I really really like you, like, like like you. And, I don't think me being hesitant to tell you was the fear of rejection more the fear of making it official or the fear of losing you as a friend. So Jughead, I like you and don't know what else to say." She looked up at him only to see his eyes soft and a small smile on his lips.
"Wow." He whispered causing Bobbi to giggle. "I don't think I can beat that, hell I'm not gonna try. Bobbi Johnson, I like you, I really really like you, like, like like you as well." He spoke in a teasing tone making fun of what the girl had just said to him. She pouted before laughing at Jughead who was about to continue. "Oh boy, this may be too soon, but Bobbi, will you be my girlfriend?"
The girl erupted with joy and massive grin finding her face and her hands clapping together. "Of course I will, Jughead." She spoke and just then their lips collided. It was a passionate kiss, however the metal table between the two stopped it from being long. They pulled apart laughing because leaning over it caused their stomachs to hurt.
As the romantic moment ended in a not so romantic way, Jughead left his side of the booth and sat next to Bobbi, he wrapped his arms around her and she snuggled into them.
They both wouldn't mind spending the rest of their lives like this.
