Elaine Moore was the first black woman brave, wise, and challenging enough to stand trial with one of the wealthiest white men known where she lived call Stanley Harrelson in the 1950s. Elaine was accused of committing a crime she did not commit, Elaine was highly religious and very familiar with the holy bible. She was accused of killing Stanley's brother Victor when he was found dead inside their huge mansion. Stanley witnessed his brother Victor raping Elaine in their house basement one afternoon. Elaine was only 25 years old, but Elaine did not know Stanley had witnessed the whole thing and sure enough because of her skin color which was black. Stanley took pleasure in killing his own brother Victor but reported Elaine as the killer
Elaine worked at the Harrelson brothers' house for over three years now as their maid but since Victor's death, and the incident that took place in the basement too before, she did not feel like continuing so she quit.
In the 1950s racism was high amongst the two race black and white she could only work domestically too because no firms or companies would hire a poor black woman like her she took jobs like babysitting, housekeeping, a waitress and sometimes she would even hand wash clothes for the wealthy white people, but she only did those jobs to be able to pay her rent at month times and to buy her grocery and clothes also. She lived in a one-room apartment, Elaine had no more living family members she lived most of her younger years in South Africa, Johannesburg however Elaine's two siblings got shot in the city of Johannesburg by the white police officers and she witnessed her parents death, and her parents died when she was nineteen years old so she moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, Elaine was a very understanding, bubbly, kind and caring and decent young woman....
