Jeremy, it's time to wake up.
"Ughhh..." Jeremy groaned.
Jerm, you'll be late for school.
"Just five more minutes dad..." He opened his eyes as the realisation struck him. "Wait..."
Well, that's a first. SQUIP chuckled. So I'm your dad now?
"Oh my god it was just an accident, please don't make it even more awkward than it should be." He sat up. "Why are you waking me up anyway?"
Your alarm didn't turn on.
"Oh. What time is it?"
7 am.
"Shit. Right. Uhhh thanks for waking me up?"
You're welcome.
Jeremy got up and picked up his clothes from the closet before going to the bathroom. After his regular morning routine, he went to grab his backpack and his phone from the nightstand.
"Shit." He cursed as he realised it wasn't charged. "Well, that explains the alarm."
He packed the phone and the charger before heading out.
What time is it?
7:31.
"Michael should already be waiting for me." He mumbled to himself.
As always, Jeremy headed towards Michael's house, he ran up to his friend when he was him.
"Sup' Jer, so what about that SQUIP situation?" Michael asked after they did their usual greeting and started walking towards the school.
"Uhh, I haven't decided yet."
Are you not going to tell him?
Considering how he reacted yesterday...I think I'll just break it to him later on.
I don't think that's the best idea.
Well, I didn't ask you for your opinion, now did I?
Right...
"I still don't get why are you even considering it, I wouldn't risk it if I were you."
"I still have that red mountain dew you got me, don't worry, I'll be fine."
"If you say so, but if you ever need help just talk to me, 'kay?"
Jeremy smiled softly as Michael patted his shoulder. "Of course."
Soon they made their way to the school where they met up with the rest of their friends. They'd chat as per usual before their first bell after which they'd all say their goodbyes.
"Bye, see you guys during lunch!" Jeremy waved to his friends before leaving to his class.
I'm happy to see that you're still in contact with them.
Well, after the bullshit you pulled I guess we just got closer together, even though it was hard and really awkward at first.
I see.
Guess you haven't fucked up everything, huh?
I'll try not to take offence to this.
The first lessons were agonising and seemed to stretch forever, as always, Jeremy met up with some of his friends during shorter breaks and he did have some classes with them. Eventually, it was lunchtime, Jeremy got up from his chair and headed to the cafeteria where he saw all his friends already waiting for him.
