luke <3 would like to facetime...

i pressed answer.

"hey, baby," his smile lit up my screen as i placed my phone against my stack of books. i smiled up from my work. "what are you working on?"

"worldviews study."

"can i help?"

"only if you know how person a's worldview has affected person b's on page two ninety eight," i read from my worksheet. he sighed loudly. "i'll take that as a no."

"sorry, i was never good at that shit," he chuckled sheepishly and i smiled.

"no problem. i was almost done anyway."

"okay, finish up. i'll make myself busy," luke said and i nodded, telling him not to hang up just yet though. the boy ended up strumming something on his acoustic guitar, which sounded an awful lot like amnesia, until i was finished.

sighing, i closed my notebook and threw it on the ground. "i'm done."

luke set his guitar to the side. "yay. did you like my strumming?"

"i loved your strumming," i giggled, resting my elbows on my desk and holding up my head. "what are you doing today?"

"nothing. it's our last day in seattle so we're just hanging out. the boys mentioned walking around the city or something," luke said and i nodded. "did you know that icarly was based here?"

"i did," i laughed and luke chuckled, cracking a grin. "are you going to go with the boys? you should, and report back to me. i've never been to seattle."

"okay, i will," luke said. "jenn?"

"yeah."

"i like you a lot."

"i like you a lot too, luke."

"i'm going to go take a shower," he said and i nodded. "i'll talk to you later. i love you."

"i love you too."
