Dance of Love

Chapter 2

Sophia's POV:

I float in a vacuum of nothingness. Until I see an orb of light, it morphs into a beautiful woman and she dances to the sounds of a rhythmic flute. An explosion of colors flows through her. She stops, then comes closer to me and takes my hand in hers.

"Sophia, the earth needs you." She says in a melodic voice. A stream of energy floats through my body as she places a hand over my heart. "Save us."

I flutter my eyes open. A pair of amethyst colored eyes look over me.

"She awoke!" the girl exclaims. Her skin is a chocolate, and she has long long, dark braided hair. Her lips are painted a dark purple. She wears a simple black t-shirt and waist high denim shorts. When she gets up I notice her tattoos on her legs, they start at her toes and reach up in intricate patterns, stopping at her thighs with a monarch butterfly on each side. "I thought that I lost her soul, but then a gorgeous energy washed over me... I felt the presence of Thalia. We found her seer, this is her."

"Are you sure, Janet?" A boy says, he stands to the far corner of the room. He has green eyes, almond shaped, and a curved jawline. He's muscular but not too bulky. He keeps his long dark hair up in a bun

"Yes."

Then my eyes roam, and they land on Daniel. Fuck. I remember what happened and quickly put a hand to my chest and look down but it looks perfectly fine. I got shot though, how?

I look directly at Daniel. "What happened to me?"

"Someone tried to assassinate you."

"What?! Why?" I don't mess with anyone, why would anyone want to hurt me?

"Because you're an overseer of Thalia's tree, your soul has many dimensions. It actually is the most powerful on earth. You have the ability of manipulating any element and shifting your awareness into any body. There are people that want you dead because you pose a threat to them. Having you on the team gives us an advantage."

"What are you talking about?" I tell him. "I can't do that. You sound crazy."

Then time slows down, and only he and I are in motion. Everything else is frozen, even the clock.

"Reality is wilder than you can ever imagine."

"Holy shit" Everything then unfreezes and I look at him with my mouth agape. Daniel tells Ethan, the guy with the man bun, to explain things for me, and so he plops himself down next to me on the bed.

"I know that this is very overwhelming for you, so I will try to simplify this as best as I can."

"Alright" I say.

"Well, in the beginning there was infinite love. The energy swirled and pulsed until it began to stretch. Billions of droplets of universes formed, voids. Until the energy of light and darkness seeped into our universe, and embraced. The whole dimension exploded with Time, Space, Energy, Elements, Matter, Color, Clouds, Planets, Stars, Galaxies, Comets, all the ingredients for this existence.

They focused most of their energy on one little planet, earth. They held it within their palms, and blew life into it. Then let it spin on, before disconnecting from one another so that they could seep into three soul bodies.

And one day, a serpent with a grin slithered to them and handed them a psychedelic mushroom. Enticed with a sense of wonder, they ate it and reality shifted. Awareness began brewing at an increasing rate and the three souls grew in dimensions through every life form that they lived through on earth. Their names are Aglaia, Thalia, Euphrosyne, the three graces, and their soul families are kept in three illuminated trees in an ethereal garden, in a hidden place on earth.
