"I'm leavingggg, and not coming back! Might be the whiskey or the midnight rain, but everywhere I look I see your face!" Rowan sang along to "One Number Away" by Luke Combs as she waited for the game. Music always calmed her nerves.

The Leafs were playing Game 1 of their first playoff series against the Bruins. They were in Boston, and so she couldn't go. Lots of the other WAGS we're going but most of them weren't in school like she was so they could take off work.

Rowan was bored already without William. The two had spent a lot of time together since they officially started dating, not that she was complaining. She had passed the time and finally, the game was starting.

The Bruins started off with a goal, but Hyman tied the Leafs up with a beautiful goal. William hadn't done anything yet, but she was still proud of him. He worked so hard to get to where he was, and he was ecstatic to be playing in the playoffs.

The energy was on the Bruins side for the rest of the game. The Leafs ended up losing 5-1 in Game 1, and Rowan knew William was going to be heartbroken. She sent him a quick text saying she was proud of him and to call her whenever he was free.

William didn't call until 11 o'clock. Rowan's phone started ringing as she was half asleep in her bed, watching Gossip Girl. She answered the facetime call and William's tired face appeared on the screen.

"Hi, baby." He mumbled and she smiled. "Hi, Willy." She replied. "I'm sorry about the game." She said. She wasn't sure if she should bring it up or not. "Can we please not talk about it? How about we talk about you? How have you been? Lost without me?" He teased and she smiled. "Precisely." She responded. It wasn't a full lie. William had only been gone since yesterday, but she was really bored without him already.

The pair talked for about an hour, until Rowan realized how late it was. "I hate to be a buzzkill but it's really late and I'm extremely tired. And I have class tomorrow." She said and he smiled, nodding. "That's okay, Row. Goodnight baby." He said sweetly and she smiled. "Goodnight, Willy." And they both hung up.

Rowan fell asleep, but William couldn't stop thinking about Rowan.

He knew he was in love with her. And he knew he had to tell her.
