"Something amusing?" Wilkerson finally manages to ask Crowder, and to his own surprise, his voice actually comes out pretty normal.
Crowder, who is still grinning (smirking, Wilkerson tells himself, the motherfucker is smirking!), reaches across the desk and grabs his magazine. Sitting back in his seat again, he still doesn't respond; he simply gazes down at the image of Megan Fox with a wistful look on his face.
Wilkerson, for his part, glances down at the photo once more, thinking that the way Crowder's eyes look reminds him of that movie Underworld with Kate Becksingsale in it; she's a vampire, and when she gets really revved up, her eyes change into evil looking serpent eyes. The point is, it's a wonderful special effects job; so good in fact, you forget how her eyes are supposed to really look until you see them normal again.
Crowder's eyes currently look like an amazing special effects job. Which suddenly gives Wilkerson an idea. He glances over at Crowder again. How does he really know the eyes he has now aren't fake? He's aware of that operation they're performing in Africa, giving Africans different eye colors. Who knows how long that's been going on; hell, for all he knew, his own people have been getting new eye colors for decades.
Crowder has stopped grinning, and is now staring at the photograph in Wilkerson' s hand.
