Percy POV

After they led me to the cell, it was beyond boring. Like, how long does it take to report to this Fury guy? It had already been 50 minutes. I would be vapor traveling out of there as soon as physically possible, as soon as their hour was up.

51 minutes.

53 minutes.

56 minutes.

60 minutes.

I concentrated my power on the water molecules in the air and separated my own, concentrating where I wanted them to move. In an instant, I was gone.

I reappeared on Half-Blood hill. Remembering past attempts at this, I breathed a sigh of relief and entered camp. I ran to the Big House, where I was sure they had resumed their daily arguing session about the prophecy. "I still think that we should have a quest," said Clarisse, who was standing with her arms crossed in front of Annabeth. I was shocked- Clarisse and Annabeth rarely fought.

Annabeth put a hand over her eyes. "To do what? Go kill Tartarus? How are you going to do that? I realize it's telling us to go back there, but what are we going to do down there?"

Clarisse growled in frustration. "We need to seek out the mortal heroes war! The only way to win against Tartarus is to get a mortal to do it! And then we go to Tartarus and I don't know, maybe kill him. I just want him out of our faces."

"Okay, okay. Sit down and shut up for now. Percy's here," Piper said, her voice laced with charmspeak, as Clarisse opened her mouth again. The two girls' eyes glazed over and they sat down immediately, closing their mouths.

I flashed Piper a grateful look and sat down at my seat. "So, what are we discussing?"

Leo shook his head at me. "We want to know what happened with the Avengers!"

"Oh, it was really boring. For the first fifteen minutes, they asked me about all my 'crimes' and I responded with a part-truth. And then they put me in a cell. When the hour was up I vapor traveled out." Leo looked genuinely disappointed.

Annabeth but her head in her hands. "Percy, they're going to come looking for you. They'll want to know how you teleported out of there. Besides, don't we need them for the prophecy?"

I pulled a confused face. "What do you mean?"

She sighed. "Seaweed Brain," she muttered. Raising her voice so I could hear her, she continued, "We know that the Pit of Death is Tartarus. So we have to Enter the Pit of Death once more. We have to Seek out the mortal heroes war, and what other mortal heroes do we know?" Rachel cleared her throat. Annabeth rolled her eyes but continued. "It can't be Rachel because it's plural. Anyways, children of sea and wisdom shall fall..."

She trailed off. No one wanted to talk about that line.

Rachel jumped in. "Let's come back to that. Hell will crumble at mortals palm."

Annabeth shook her head, shaking herself from her thoughts. "Well, that's obvious."

I hit my head on the table. "For you, Wise Girl!" She sighed.

"It is obvious! We can only win the fight with Tartarus if we have the Avengers by our side."

I contemplated this in my head. Was it possible that we needed a mortal for this? Especially the ones that tried to sedate me?

Rachel sent me a pointed glance. I sighed. This was just like the Labyrinth. We had needed a mortal then, and we needed a mortal now. "Okay," I said. "But how am I going to get them to trust us? I can't walk up to them without being put in handcuffs."

Leo laughed. "Easy. I'll do it."

I looked at him in confusion. What?

He laughed again. "I'm a huge fan of Tony Stark. I'll just tell him that I'm a huge fan and then- well, he's a sucker for fans, and I'm sure that I could get myself in the tower, at least."

'Yes, Leo, but don't you think that he'll stop when he knows you know me?"

"Well, I'm not going to tell him I know you, am I? Besides, Leo McShizzle can do anything. I'll get you the help you need, no worries."

I sighed. "Well, it's the best we have to go on anyways. Everyone in agreement?"

Most people nodded, but Katie Gardner raised her hand. "I don't know. What if Leo's plan doesn't work? What if he can't get in the tower?"

Leo glared at her. "Flamin' Hot Leo can do anything, Katie. But anyway, if my plan doesn't work, then it's simple. I hack in."

Annabeth laughed. "Leo, we're talking about Tony Stark. Don't you think that it's going to be a little difficult, getting past numerous firewalls and tight security?"

Leo smirked at her. "I'm immune to fire. Don't worry about me." Annabeth sighed and leaned her head on me.

Katie nodded. "Okay then, yes, I'm in." Chairs scraping, they all got up and left the Big House. Leo stayed behind with me and Annabeth.

Annabeth looked at Leo. "You're going to have to get dressed in normal clothes to go see Iron Man."

Leo looked down at himself. He was wearing a red t-shirt, a once-white apron now covered in oil, and blue jeans. "What do you mean? This is normal clothes."

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "I mean normal clothes by mortal standards."

"Oh... Well, I'll go get ready, and then I'm off the find the wizard."

"How are you going to find Tony Stark?" I mused.

He smiled a mischievous smile. "I have my ways." With that, he disappeared out towards his cabin.

I turned to Annabeth. "So, what do you think about the third line? Ya think we're going to beat the odds again?"

She stared at the table. "Percy, no prophecy has actually foretold our death so straightforward- never actually come out and said that we will fall. But now..." Annabeth looked up at me, worry covering her face. "Percy, we might not survive this."
